Did you buy the car from a Mazda dealer? If so, are they a Mazdaspeed dealer? Hopefully that's a "yes" to both questions.

no i bought it from a gmc dealer used .... no they arnt a mazdaspeed dealer

Yea so im sitting here in the dealrship waiting room while they fix it .... i guess it cant be to bad if i can drive 2 hours to get there but yea i want the light to go off it drives me nuts but i'll be sure to let you all know what the problem was

I also have a CEL light on. Mine came on after I had put a Perrin Short ram intake on. I had the code read on mine and it's a P0171. Bank 1 system 1 lean. I had put my fac. intake back on and had my friend w/ an obd-2 reader reset the code. It went away for 4 days then it came back (pissed). I've talked to other people and they said it sounds like on of my cats are stopped up. Cause it feels like it looses ALL power right around 3k RPMs. Not cool!

and u tried resetting the car? like dissconnecting the batt for like a few hours and see what happens/

Not for a few hours. but for close to 30 min.

Did you buy the car with the light on? Those mods dont seem like they would cause the CEL, but you never know....correct PCM reset is to remove both terminals from battery and turn on lights, sit for min 2 hours.

I had that cel and code a year and a half ago. So i used the corksport exhaust with the spark plug non foulers for the 02 sensor, and the split second afc by dsmconvert and have had no cel or code since.....

I just got the car back from the dealership, and they had ran a diagnostic on it. He looked, some how into the history and seen that the PO171 code was erased but the new code was for a vaccum leak. They reset it and I'll tell in a few days how it's goin?

I heard that the new ethanol additive is disagreeing with all turbo cars.
