Got my first check engine light yesterday. the code was P2119 Throttle Actuater Control. Car runs fine and i have not noticed any drop in gas mileage. Did some research on this forum and it looks like some others have gotten this code too. I guess the first thing to do is clean the throttle body. Anything else I need to know before I bust out the carb cleaner?

Remove the t/b for cleaning, that's all I can think of...

Okay I thought I would post a quick update. I had some time yesterday afternoon so I cleaned the throttle body. It was pretty dirty so I am glad I cleaned it. Not too difficult of a job. Once you disconnect the air hose its just four bolts, two hoses, and a wiring connector. Just be careful not to drop anything into the air intake like your cleaning brush, or you'll have to have your 6 year old and his skinny arms fish it out. I hope this fixed the problem, but if not at least I could put a new one on myself. I snapped a pic with my phone right before I cleaned it.
