CEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! help?

ok i got a 04 mazda 6s and stupid me i have a short ram intake now is there anyway you can have a 6s with a aftermarket intake without the light going on? because im seeing that theres issues with that and if so some input would be nice im looking into buys a cai just dont want to waste lik 250 300$ just to see another cel..... thanks

You probably want to get the code scanned so you know what the cause of the CEL is. (Go to AZ or a Pepboys type store...) Many CAI's for the Mazda6 will throw a CEL due to the MAF tube being larger than the sensor was calibrated for. Some other key things to look for are plugging any loose vacuum hoses and making sure all the electrical plugs are reconnected.

the CPE one comes with a system to eliminate that. its an issue with the MAF.

lynn from your avatar it looks like you are using regular 6's grille on the speed6, i dont think this is good for airflow to the intercooler as it might interfere with the ducting.

no sir..i got a 3.0 mazda 6 i wish i gotta speed 6 funny thing is i get alot of people askn me if its a speed 6 and wen speed 6s see me on the highway they try racing me lol

oh nevermind i see that you have a different hood with the vent, i just saw the second crease lines and assumed speed6 but now i see the slight buldge where the vent in the hood is.

the speed6's probably race you because they want to show you how they can smoke a 6cyl with a 4cyl.
