i'm gonna vote real and reitterrate what everyone else has said. i sliced the left side of my left hand index finger clean off with a brand new razor blade and it didn't bleed right away. it also didn't hurt until i saw the skin hanging off of the blade and then saw blood come pouring out of my fingertip. took a good 10 to 15 seconds before it starting gushing blood. i know i was in shock cuz i remember my heart was racing and i started breathing heavy when i realized what i had done. I also stepped on a nail and it didn't bleed at all until i pulled it out of my foot. and even then it didn't bleed that much. so don't be so quick to say its fake. i too showed it to my mom, an RNC of 23 years, and she thought it was pretty real. i guess we will never know but i say it's real because of my experience

Between all the lacerations and punctures I've had throughout my life and the time I spent on an ambulance. I say real.

When something enters the body that fast nerves are cut pretty quickly.

As for the blood thing. When someone is impaled with an object you're not supposed to remove it because that's what's keeping them from bleeding or bleeding more.
