i noticed a squeaking sound coming from the rear suspension a couple days ago and finally got around to inspecting it today. found the bracket on the RL that attaches to the end link completely severed! coilovers are almost one year old. i have done a lot of spirited driving, but never abused or tracked the car. anyone seen this issue before? i've already driven on it for a few days, but how bad do you guys think it is to drive on this? anyway, hoping BC will replace this for me...

well its just the mounting spot for the enlink that broke... id say you would be ok driving around for a lil bit but ya might wanna just unhook the endlink from the other side that way you dont have any preasure being applied to just one side of your sway bar if your worried about it... that sucks though

yeah, i don't want the other bracket to break! but if i unhook the other endlink then my sway bar will just be dangling there. maybe i should just take the sway bar off for now...

Yeah I won't be buying BC's with all these endlink tabs breaking. I guess this justifies my decision to go with JIC or Tein coilovers.

their wont be any pressure will there? if they work with one another??,,its pretty much just sitting there now. What you DO want to do is make sure the endlink doesnt get drug or caught in your wheel. and yea If you undo the other one, the bar will probly rattle, but im not sure how steady the MSP bar and bushings are.

another one :( ..... i remeber someone just drilled another hole for the endlink..

so, i removed the endlinks and inspected the other bracket. doesn't seem to show any signs of abnormal wear. not sure why the one on the left side decided to break.

anyway, i'm pretty sure BCs have a one year warranty, so hopefully they will help me out with this. it's actually been 11 months today, so it broke just in time! hahaha....

Why don't people just reinforce the endlink areas? Weld another piece of metal to the endlink tab that's the same size and shape to make it double thickness perhaps? That seems like a reasonable, logical solution to me.

that's a dandy solution, but it's something the manufacturer should have done in the first place! shouldn't be up to the customer to remedy the issue.

s***! Sorry to hear this Zach. Yea try contacting BC see if they'll replace it. Or u can just drill a hole on that tab. It usually breaks when ur coming up driveways. I dont think itll break at the track. Try leveling the car when going into a driveway, not in a angle.

that might actually explain it. the entrance to my garage is at an angle, i three wheel a little bit every time i go in/out. unfortunately, the only solution would be to get a different garage...

that actually doesn't look that bad, i'd just get a new endlink, cut off the broken part, and re weld on a piece just like it with a hole in it for the new endlink to go!

done. :)

of course there are ways to fix this, but the point is that it shouldn't be happening in the first place!

no it shouldn't have, you should try and contact them and see what they say...

what were you doing anyway?!! lol

i'll contact them on monday and see what the deal is.

all i did was jump a creek dukes of hazard style... yeeee hawwww!
kidding... i don't even know how it happened. just noticed the squeaking coming from the back end a couple days ago and decided to have a look.

Grinding and welding on a highly pressured gas cylinder might not be the best of ideas.

If you left the tab there and welded to it then maybe, but still high possibility for some extreme temperatures to take something go boom.

i don't know about high possibility, but yes, your right prob not a good idea...
