So recently in the last two weeks my car started to burn oil like a son of a b**** (like 5 quarts a week) and in the morning when my car is cold, I start it up and a big cloud of white smoke comes out of my exhaust and then clears out for the most part. Every one I talk to tells me it sounds like the valve seal, I talked to the dealer and quoted me like $700-$1000 to fix the problem. My car has only 2003 P5 with 75,000 miles on it. But valve seal it seems to fit what is happening.
(scratch) Has anyone experienced this problem and fixed it on there own? How much did the parts cost? Where would I get them? And about how long would it take me to take my car apart and back together. Any advice would be great.. Thanks
