I have yet to do the hwy 9 run. I will once I get up there again, but there are some sweet roads in the foothills too near Placerville or Auburn...

Damn, I'm jealous... there's all kinds of nice little back roads in the Bay ...

I just found a road last weekend when I was up there... Mosquito Road. It was beautiful. My friend and I usually pull out the Thomas Guide and aim for the squigleiest road we can find. Sometimes it sucks with bad pavement or whatever, but usually it is a good time.

Hell yeah.... My wife and I used to do the same thing. Check out Woodside Road in Redwood city .... I'm not sure if that's what they go on for the Hwy 9 run, but damn, that road is nice
