When my car went in for a new shift fork, they had my car for 3 weeks the first time, and almost twice that the second time.
So much for getting it welded huh.

thats what i'm curious about, how much on average does it cost to get the lsd welded?

i think it goes around 75$ to 100$ depending on if you know the guy n stuff

wow, that's a hell of a lot cheaper than i expected. i was thinking it would be around like 2 to 300 bucks to do. now, when it gets welded, it has to be perfect doesn't it. if it's not done right, there will be a wobble right?

yes, it has to be tig welded and has to be done perfect.

75$ to 100$ is just to weld the lsd ... you have to take the transmission apart too... that might bring you to 300$ for the whole thing

thats what i thought. i had a feeling there was more work to it. without ever having worked on a transmission, that's probably not something i want to tackle myself huh

dealer said they were going to replace it? or weld it? cuz if they welded it for you, i'm moving to where ever the hell you live cuz my dealership here sucks. if you roll the window down wrong, WARRANTY VOID!

your dealer shouldnt be the one voiding your warranty, mazda is

if they don't do the work its just because they don't feel like it. They took the tranny out and replaced the lsd for me, they didn't weld it that woulda been more than amazing

I just read the whole story and I'm amazed man.....good for you. Mazda Gabriel wanted to void my warranty just because I mentioned I was planning to put synthetic oil!!! I've never been back, they would probably call the cops on me if they saw my car today! Albi rocks for sure....pm me that service guy's name when you have a chance. Again, good for you bro!

yeah i still can't believe what happened but even more that it took so little time.

something else this morning lol i think my starter is gone but that's nothing hehe
