That looks great (except for the necessary seams) up and down.

I don't understand, though, this new desire for convertibles. I mean these things are very complicated now. I can't imagine these tops lasting that long mechanically or the seals on the joints.

I mean I know they have to fold up very small to fit in the boot, but for how long?

Have you ever owned a convertible? I just test drove the new Z4 the other day. Man it was so nice out. I sure do mis mine.

that looks...complex. on a side note, i saw a new 335 yesterday. they look way better in person than in pictures.

I love watching videos of the excessively complicated folding mechanisms lol.

Oh and hardtop miata ftw.. but fiberglass hard top, not the power one hahaha. top down all freakin summer hahaha :D

I like the hardtop a lot better than the droptop. All the seams just kill the design and somethin aboutthe rear proportions just looks a little off. there's a black 335 at the dealership near where I work and it's BEAUTIFUL in person.

I drove a 335i coupe a week ago. Its fing fast. I think its as fast as an e46 M3.

I know I'm going to get killed on this one, but I didn't like the wagon. This, however, has very clean sharp lines and though a little on the conservative side, looks very very nice.

According to CarAndDriver, its faster on top end (speeds above 80mph).

the back is a little "mazda millenia"-ish. that said, i saw one in person the other day and it's frickin beautiful...like every other new BMW, looks much better in person than in pics.

i've always liked the 3-series wagons, including this generation; but i wish they'd stop saddling the wagon w/ the smallest engine. blech.

the more i think about it, the more i like the miata folding hardtop. unless it's a dedicated track/autoX car, the extra weight of the top can be offset, and it isn't that much anyway. plus, when it's down, i'd bet the car has a more favorable weight distribution (i.e., a tad more weght over the rear wheels) than the soft top.
