Has anyone dynoed their msp with the maf on the intake side, then moved the maf to the pressure side and dynoed it with the same setup?
Stormtrooper77 said:Ok. This sounds really easy, but I'm having some sort of brainfart here. Can someone post a pic of the stock setup and draw in lines as to where to cut/move? For some reason I'm thinking that there will be a gap left in the pipe.
ZenProtege said:I agree, I wouldn't cut the stock piping just to move the maf, it doesn't seem like a silicone coupler wouldn't hold well to the plastic, especially with all the weird oval shaped bends
Do you already have the BOV on the pipe? I have mine coming off the turbo to intercooler pipe. It works great there, and would give you extra room on the other pipe to space the MAF from the injectors.Metal MP5 said:i was looking at my engine bay last night thinking about this ... i have a question. I bought a set of extra injectors with my MPI tuner that goes on the IC>TB pipe. How's that gona affect the MAF if i relocate it on that same pipe ? I read about air coming back through the MAF when the TB closes, what about fuel coming from those injectors ? any chance of that going back through the MAF as well or it'll be out of the way before the TB closes ?
the injectors are not installed yet, but will be soon. I was going to try to have those welded as close to the TB as possible, then try to fit the MAF between the injectors and the BOV
any specific distance i should keep between the tb > injectors > maf > bov ?
