Big brakes

mp5zoomer<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_903845", true); </SCRIPT> - the MP5 version of the kit is slightly cheaper b/c of different rear rotors & pads compared to the MSP.

The following are the member discounted prices (payment via MO, prices @ today's exchange)
BBK For the MP5/ES -> $1865US + shipping
BBK For the MSP -> $1979US + shipping.

jack doesn't your kit use the kvr python calipers?

Guys just to keep things in perspective my kit was $1200.00 usd and the cost to replace not rebuild a whole caliper is $117.00 usd so go ahead and do the math. anouther big reason for me using wilwoods is that almost every pad that you could want to run is available for these calipers. also the fact that there are no "antirattle clips" is because they are not needed because the calipers hold the pads in a different fasion than pushing down on the tops, the squeeze them from the edges to stop the rattle.

bill harvey - Our kit utilizes a variant of the KVR python.

Which version of Wilwood caliper are you using? If it's the one we're thinking about, it was actually designed to be used for the rear of a car. (the dynalites IIRC).

dang ion performence why u guys so expensive i can get my bbk for lesser the cost of ur bbk not to be mean u guys with msp or p5 should check out stop tech n rotara

AbsoluteSwed - fronts are 330m x 30mm directionally vented 2-piece floating rotors. Rears are OEM sized.

fluxmMSP - what are you referring to specifically? Each BBK is designed with specific criteria in mind. Neither Rotora or Stoptech have dust seals or anti-rattle clips which are required for DOT compliance for road use.

We have other BBK's that are even pricier that utilize AP Racing calipers (like our Subaru applications). However for a car like the Protege, it would be plain overkill.

Jack - I wont get into the first part of this argument with you again - well just agree to disagree - but the part about the scooby - why is it overkill on a protege and not on a scoby?

ion-pics would be nice.
infact most everyone here would like pics of your whole product line.most won't buy anything without seeing it first.

one more question-
why is it that all of your products are the most expensive. No matter what it is you sell,it cost a lot more than anyone else.
I know you have top quility products, but I also know it dosen't cost near that much to produce the stuff.
it sounds like your gettin greedy

Horse<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_1019287", true); </SCRIPT> - The Protege is considerably less weight compared to the Subaru. Hence the necessity for going to that extreme is less (due to the fact that the Protege even when fully modified will not be performing the same type of motorsports tasks as the Subaru).

wicked<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_1019539", true); </SCRIPT> - in regards to pics etc, we had occasions where other companies have copied our designs, hence unless it's published publically, we generally don't show pics etc. Those who are serious about performance and actually buying will take the effort to contact us, at which point information will be given specific to the needs of the customer.

As for our products being the most expensive; there are several factors: (1) R&D costs, (2) Material costs (3) Production quantities [MSP's are a limited production run vehicle vs. a Protege 5]. (4) It costs lots of $ to have the right people on board for R&D & manufacturing. Our products in fact aren't the most expensive, especially if you factor in the life span of the product. Our stuff is built to last; in most cases probably longer then the chassis of the car itself.
