AWR Endlinks Finally Quiet

Most people know that Tony at AWR makes Adjustable endlinks for the Protege. They were loud so he came up with some silly O rings and s*** that made it a bit better. Here is one step further.

GROMET!

A Gromet is normally used to protect wiring when it passes though metal like a fire wall. I have a new use for these baby's.

Bushings to snug the Endlinks. End result. Stock Quiet and AWR Performance...

How tight do you go on them...it doesnt seem like you go real tight as to not deform the grommet. I got the same clunking issues, maybe I tighten them to much. I squished the o-rings.

hmmmm...... Just this weekend I had the awr rear end links and 21.5mm rear swaybar put on... now I get alot of clunking and banging from the rear end...Are these the noises you a refering to?

in referance to that pic, is that the top or bottom of the endlink? and it looks like you put the spacer on the outside?

The picture is of the front, but the same is used for the rear.

i've got front end clunk now that i have autoexe coilovers and after wearing them in over 2000miles. i had to use the BJ1 endlinks.

will try this shortly. the clunk had me worried as it sounded like something was loose in the suspension. i reckon i checked the front end some 4 or 5 times before i wondered if it's something else that's making the noise. i'm also going to upgrade the front sway bar bushings while i'm at it (since i have an upgraded sway bar too - 25mm)

Just an FYI for all you guys, they also have these rubber grommets at hardware stores like Home Depot, Lowes, and Ace. Just look in the hardware section. I recomend looking at lowes though. Lowes has everything organized alot nicer than home depot in my experience.

I use the grommets for my home made water pipes...... For tobacco of course...... (naughty)
