I got the Pirellis as well -- the PZero M+S. Can't wait for the snow, and I agree with the "no more FWD." My last car was a Saab 9-2X and was a blast in the snow.
One of the added benefits was that I seem to be getting 2-3 more mpg around town, and on a trip to Alabama from NY I got 28mpg during one stretch. I never touched 22mpg with the stock Bridgestones. Sure they're sticky, but they wore out fast and got horrible mileage. I like the Pirellis better.
