Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the AUTO EXE Header? I'm looking for a good header for my auto P5. I can't use the AWR because of being auto. Thanks in advance, Louie

lots and lots of money = not worth it..get the AWR header if you want some pricey custom 4-2-1 gear...or get the OBX/Forza 4-1

the Ae piece is beautiful and probably the best one out there, but for the possibility of an extra 1-2 whp for spending 2-4 times as much as any other header on the market just doesnt make it worth it.

I would recommend the OBX 4-1 or the Ractive 4-1 header, both can be had for 200 or under and then just spend a little more to get them jethot coated and your good to go.

How much did it cost you to get the mods done, or how long did it take you if you did it yourself?

It's just the EGR fitting right? I didn't think the O2 had to be messed with or anything else.

$140 for the header
$35 for shipping
$100 for EGR and fitment (the test pipe is added because it's shorter?)
$50 for Jet-hot???

So about $240 for a good 4-2-1 header, compared to $550 for the AWR. I think I'll go with this, hoping that I can find someone to do some high quality welding.

Akhilleus, did you ever think about putting the stock heatshield on? I'm moving to PA and have that visual inspection BS. Some threads could probably be welded onto any header...

If you are actually going to send the header to Jet-Hot Inc, then it is going to cost you a LOT more that 50 bucks to get it coated. For my AWR, it was 190 shipped. Worth it? Heck if I know.

Just fyi,

Yeah, that was a bad guess. I'm going to try to get on the ractive bandwagon, because in the long run it will be cheaper.

I did want a 4-1 design anyways. I hope to have cams and some mild porting done too.

Do the OBX 41..it fit perfectly and looks, feels, and sounds great. I and SpicyM can attest to that. And if u are worried about inspection u will most like fail no matter what anyways...just keep your stock parts close and when inspection comes around swap it. i believe the heat shield may fit though.

Does the OBX have 2 O2 sensor hookups? Or just 1? I know the second one would be useless, but it'd be nice to have somewhere to plug the thing in even with the MIL Eliminator.

the OBX/Forza header has two o2 hookups and an EGR fitting

ok lets get this strait... Mplvan wanted to know whats a good header for an Auto P5, and so do I. I have an auto P5 and would also like to know whats best for it. I know that the Autos dont have as much torque or power stock as a stick, so would a 4-2-1 design be better for Auto? Would a shorty header from Wagner be better? Altho ive been reading about clearence problems with the downpipe/midpipe. Anybody have any issues with cleareance from a 4-2-1 or 4-1 header on an Auto b4?

By better i mean more usable power and torque.

thx

i have installed the OBX header on a few cars with auto trannies and not had clearance issues at all.

hey Captain KRM P5, do you sell the ceramic coated obx headers on your site? cause all i saw was the one header and it looked like you copy and paste strait from obx's site, so it didnt say if it was the ceramic coated one.

if you dont sell them, can u get a hold of em? or know some one that can?

this is what i saw on obx's site for a ceramic coated one:
