If you are actually going to send the header to Jet-Hot Inc, then it is going to cost you a LOT more that 50 bucks to get it coated. For my AWR, it was 190 shipped. Worth it? Heck if I know.iluvmacs said:$140 for the header

So about $240 for a good 4-2-1 header, compared to $550 for the AWR. I think I'll go with this, hoping that I can find someone to do some high quality welding.
Akhilleus, did you ever think about putting the stock heatshield on? I'm moving to PA and have that visual inspection BS. Some threads could probably be welded onto any header...
