AT Plug & Refill

What is the volume of fluid drained when doing a plug drain & refill? The total dry fill is 7.4 quarts buy will be doing just a plug drain. Thanks Ed

Drain the fluid in a clean container and measure using an empty quart container. I did mine recently, it was 3 1/2 quarts (2008 CX-7). I paid $10.07 + tax for a quart from the Mazda dealer, but for the same fluid it was $4.75 + tax from the Toyota dealer.

Thanks fkov. Interesting that Toyota was about 1/2 the cost. I am going to check the Mobil service center near me for thir 3309 fluid.

What kind of AT fluid does my 07 FWD CX7 need?

T-IV which you can purchase at a Toyoto dealer for ~ $5.xx per quart. My plug drain required about 3.7 quarts.
