arm alarm with tt

Dr. Sound, post when you get this working with the timer, btw what TT you using?

Ok if you do this, say somepne breaks into your car while the engine is off and the alarm is going off, does it still kill the starter so they can't as easily drive away with it? (really simple to test, just sit in the car with the TT running the engine, arm the alarm, let the TT shut the engine off, then open your door to set the alarm off and try to start the car) Also, is there a way for the alarm to kill the engine while the tt is running it if the alarms goes off?

got it working on 2 MSP's this morning.
just cut the orange (pin 6) wire.

start the car
take the key out
get out
close door
arm the alarm
light blinks as normal
TT counts down
while the TT is counting and the car is on, if u kick a tire the alarm will sound
car turns off
alarm is still activated

one MSP has Greddy turbo timer, other (mine) has Blitz FATTDCII.

thanks you jusrgs01!

So all you did was cut that one wire or did you have to cut the other two behind the rear seats? Also where is this wire located? I dont know where the alarm "brain" is. Any help or pics would be appreciated!

Here are some pics of the alarm module (underneath the dash), which you cut the orange (pin 6) wire, and the rmt lock module (behind the back seats under plastic) which you cut the blue/white wire. Congrats on getting your to work Dr. Sound. Kinda nice not to hassle with it anymore. Hope this helps Mattybo. Those are the ONLY two wire you cut, and make sure to insulate them so the engine side doesn't ground.

I just noticed something kind odd, I was messing with my alarm and I was able to arm my car while the key was in the ignition (turned to ACC), thought it was kinda weird but it was funny cuz everytime my bass hit on my radio, the alarm would honk the horn.

2 wires have to be cut.

1 behind the rear seats. Blue/White on the keyless entry module.
1 at the alarm "brain" box. Orange (pin 6).

just cut them, tape the end up, and u're ready to go.

Post a pic of the R1 bracket. I was thinking about getting the Greddy EBC and matchign them together in the pocket. But now I think I might invest in the AVC-R with the adjustable boost per gear.

Anyone install the TT in the in the pocket underneath the heater vent on the left side, its kinda hidden and it would almost fit perfectly with a custom bracket.

please stay on topic, or i will close this thread.
the issue with TT and Alarm has been solved.

if u want to see pictures, start a new thread.......

Im sorry im unfamiliar with the term insulate? What do you mean by that? Just put some electrical tape over the cut end?

Hey sorry about my first post...it was my not so cool friend messing with my computer...anyways i got my alarm working with a greddy turbo timer...works perfectly took about 10 mins...very easy to do

just did it at 1am. Kinda funy sitting under my console of my car parked on the street. Flashlight and wirecutters in hand. Kinda dissapointed that the cops didnt show up, i waz out there for like 20 min. a car did however honk at me as he passed...

anyway moral, works great......its gonna be wierd not waiting for my turbo timer...which kinda made it worthless.

thx for anyone who posted.

Electrical tape will work. They also sell twist on wire ends at radio shack. Just don't leave the wire exposed because the car side will still have +12v on the car end, so you don't want it grounding (touching metal parts of your car).

awesome man, im gonna install my TT tonight, cut those two wires, wrap em up and test it out. It's gonna be nice not having to sit in my car waiting for the damn turbo to cool down!
