arm alarm with tt

hmmmm i dunno then...mine might beep every once in a while when the car shuts off due to the car shuttering but I turned down the sensitivity a hair & it does it no more. I never had it set off the alarm though...

I tried that and the alarm would sound right before countdown ended. So I did it the other way, switching dip switch and it auto locks after the moter kills. I need to redo it.

Cool, I'll hook mine up to the black/white wire as well and see what happens. How do you turn down the sensitivity?

There is a little rounded black box ziptied to some wires under the steering wheel. Just lay on you back down there and look up, I think it says "Security" on it. It has a little red LED and a white knob, you can test the sensitivity by tapping it and seeing if the LED blinks.

the local DFW guys did this mod on my car so now i can run the TT and arm my alarm as well, We had to cut a wire on a white box in the back and then cut some wire by the alarm worked great!!!

I know we used the forum to figure it out...

yep its the blue/white wire @ the keyless entry module

yep and then you have to cut an orange wire by the alarm module and then tap one end off and stick the ohter end somewhere else and then the car will acutally arm while running instead of just beeping and locking the doors as in the case of if you only do the back seat box module thingy wire cut...

Gosh, I'm glad I had somebody else do it...(boom06)

I only cut the one wire on the security module in the back. Yeah I can arm my alarm while i'm driving, so what, lol. Never made a difference to me, it's not like it ever arms itself. I think it's funny actually.

Well I have had to dive into the whole wire thing becuase I had to install my PowerMeter and my J&S Safeguard and they both had to connect to the ECU...

Should have seen the look on my face as I'm cutting wires with Garden Shears becuase I don't have any real wire snippers.(boom06)

Then I'm like ok this looks like it could be the wire try said wires and nope, nope, nope, then Ah got the right one...(ugh)

And then I would have to tighten my grounds down more to make it all work, so after days I was up and running (alright)

LOL...i still havent wired my speed wire from my Greddy TT becasue 1..Im not sure which wire ti goes to & 2 I dont like the idea of cutting into the ECU

same here... but apparently over half of the greddy tt features are dependent on this speedwire. i might do it one day if i'm bored.....

Anytime you guys want me to taker a picture od the right wire let me know. If memory serves me right it is a Dark Green with Red Stripe wire and there are two of them, so one is the right one and the other is the wrong one. I can get you the pin # on the ECU as well. To see the pin #'s you remove the bolt going through the black protective casing on the end of the ECU and this will allow for the grey snap in peice to come out of the ECU, then you remove the black protecive cover off the little end piece and that will allow for you to see the pinn #'s on the ECU

hey guys I did both the black and orange wire trick but now I cant reprogram my new keyless controller! any suggestions!!!

did it work with your old controller?
did u do the blue/white wire on the keyless entry module behind the back seat?

i dont know if this has already been posted buyt i figuered out how to arm the factory alarm while the car is still running.
all you have to do is take off your rear deck and underneath there is a white box labeled keyless entry module. then just cut the blue white wire and tape it up.

yes, it works for me.

^ if you do just that then u'll lock the doors, but alarm wont arm.
