arm alarm with tt

Great! Nice to see that this all works fine for everyone....with Sedans!! Does anyone know where the notorious "box behind the rear seats" is in the P5!!

Figure what out, I just skimmed through this thread and it seems to explain everything. (scratch)

I haven't had time to look back there yet. I'm thinking that it's somewhere behind all that plastic in the hatch. It's just taking me a while because I have to take apart the whole entire stability cage just to get the plastic pieces off.

Well I took apart to whole damn trunk and didn't see anything that looked like the pics. I did see a blue relay box, but it didn't say what is was for. It did, however, have a blue/white wire coming out of it. I guess the only way to find out is the good old guess and check method. So before I go blue/white wire cutting happy, I need to hit up radio shack and get some wire butes.

Don't worry fellow P5ers, I will figure this out! ... even though only like 10 P5's are going to benefit from this ...

Why don't you just unplug the wire harness to the box and see if your remote door locks still work?(wink)

damn was there ever a how-to typed up on this? i see bit and pieces here and there but for someone with my lack of knowledge on electronics it would help a great deal to have it all on 1-2 pages of directions or 3-4 with pics.

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead, but with what I feel are good reasons. I'll be doing a turbo timer install very soon, and I would like my alarm to still work afterwards and be activated while the car is still running. The pin 6 orange wire is obviouisly the 12v ignition signal. Instead of cutting it and tapping it into the "large orange/black" wire, couldn't you just use tap the pin 6 orange wire into accessory? I'm guessing the accessory wire would be reading 0V when you turn off the car and the turbo timer is running. Or am I wrong?

I did it by tapping into the black wire & mine works great :D people look at me retarded all the time when I walk away from the running car & then turn around & arm it (rofl)

I tried that and the alarm would sound right before countdown ended. So I did it the other way, switching dip switch and it auto locks after the moter kills. I need to redo it.
