Are headers worth getting

I personlly have headers on my mp3 and i love em. i noticed slightly faster launch speeds and a little more top end power, it also gives your car a nicer sound even with the stock RB catback. if you dont have one already I would also do a CAI (i have a Injen CAI) and a nice set of plugs and wires(I use denso iridiums and nology hotwires), I would alo suggest the corksport catback. Between them all you should notice a significant increase in power and all can be done for a resonable price.

i wouldnt recommend more then one header, because the others will just sit in your garage.

dont waste money on iridiums and all that, save yourself a couple bucks and buy stock plugs, your not going to feel any difference, and many people here will back me up on that.

A header is a VERY popular upgrade. If it wasn't a good upgrade, it wouldn't be that popular.

I never had a problem with the nologys on either of my cars. I dynoed with a 2 hp gain on my mp3 after switching from stock wires and plugs(plugs and wires were just replaced and only had 3500 miles on em when first dyno took place) to the nologys and non resister iridiums. and my supra i couldnt say if there was gain or not do to several other mods being done allong with the plugs and wires but 20k miles later and still no problems.

I have the OBX Race header, I love it. Love the sound my car makes now. I have that and the weapon-R intake. its a good combo. only thing when you get a header and if you install it your self. buy your self the O-Ring ahead... I found the hard way. cause i read it can be reused... pppffffttt yea right- if you can get it off your old header.

i thought the only 4-2-1 was the awr which is hard to find but does vibrant even make headers for proteges?

yes vibrant does, and AWR doesnt make the header for our car anymore

The picture shown in the ebay ad is not for our cars, neither is it a 4-2-1. It's a 4-1 for something else. So if someone's thinking of buying it, you'd better look into it and the seller some more.

*edit* did a quick google search for vibrant header protege and apparently that header is made by pacesetter. Several online stores sell it for ~$450 and even offer free shipping. Still couldn't find an actual picture though.

In general, Pacesetter is a crappy company (at least from my experience). Their products don't last (again, from my experience).

Absolutely! Love mine! Gets a nice growl under the hood you can here in the cabin.
