Anyone have Mazda software and an OBD2 reader?

So, as most ppl know on here I did a JDM swap for my 626, but I talked to a few ppl and due to the fact that I didn't swap my ECU or harness I think that I need the ECU tuned, I think it's giving me the wrong fuel/air ratio because everytime I start her she bubbles and pops and eventually dies if I don't give her enough gas. I'm thinking now that it's my idle settings. So I need it tuned, I could go to a store like autodream and get them to tune it but it costs $190/per hour to tune it... So I'm going to see if anyone has the software...

they can't tune the stock ecu. best to either get the jdm ecu or a piggyback. you have the fs-ze correct? best bet(cost/performance) would probably be the e-manage blue. if you have lots of cash burning in your pocket, get the microtech and i'll install and tune it for you.

what's a piggy back?

lol... and I don't have lots of cash burning in my pockets hahaha I wish!!

a piggy back takes control of the fuel and some allow some timing ajustments. it allows you to set your own tune. the cheapest and easiest thing would probably be to source the jdm ecu. i couldn't imagine it would be that expensive. i don't know where you could find one though. maybe protege garage?

ya, that's right. i forgot that the jdm ecu is obd1.

you could always go with the fs-de and give me the ze;)

did you buy the car with the ze in it? if you bought it from an engine importer, did they not tell you that it's not plug and play?

No no no I JUST did the swap out!! I didn't buy it with it in, I did the swap two weeks ago.

They told me it would be fine.

I dunno if you can do that. Maybe sourcing an OBD1 ecu would be better option.

Only thing is, is that I used my USDM harness...

So not only would I have to swap the ECU as well as the harness and who says that, that harness wouldn't have extra plugs and I'd more than likely have to swap back the new intake manifold because it's vacuum controled rather than the USD one is electronic... so that's where I run into the prediciment...
