My dad got hit by a drunk driver, broke his neck and completely demolished the car...


about 3 months later the same guy hit a lady right infront of us, in the same exact car, just a different color

The guy claimed to be blind, last i heard his license was revoked and his ass was sittin in jail...

I just don't understand how hard it is to NOT drink and drive? You know you're ****** up, everyone's heard about what happens...and yet people still are dumb enough to do it...

Thanks. I'm pretty sure they'll be fixing it. I haven't even considered what I'll do if they total it.

I just got a copy of the accident report, and it looks like he had insurance.. so at least I don't have to worry about that now.

The insurance adjuster said it wasn't close to being totalled. I just got it towed to the body shop on Tuesday. They spent all yesterday writing a supplemental to the estimate, for all the parts that the adjuster left off. So, AFAIK they're still going to try and repair it. I haven't heard the adjusted estimate, but the original one was $5000.

I'm glad you are ok, although it pains me to see any MSP like that... I almost wrecked 2 times yesterday b.c of stupid women not paying attention. I had to slam the brakes so hard the 2nd time that I stalled the car b.c I didn't have time to put the clutch in. Then she had the balls to fully stop in the road b4 turning right so that she could make a point for me to almost hit her again, like it was my fault she pulled out in front of me...Anyways I'm sure your car will be good as new soon

I didn't think they would catch him. I remarked to an officer about how it sucked he got away, and he turns to me and says "I just heard on the radio that they caught him."

Apparently a guy he had cut off earlier was really pissed at him, and followed him with a dispatcher on the phone until a cop caught up to where they were.

Now thats a good person! You should find out his name and thank him. I hate drunk drivers too! Hopfully him get his ass reemed while he's in his new home.

oh yeah, with what looks to be an incredibly similar accident (punctured radiator and all) mine turned out to be $7000 in damage but fixable. Good luck and glad you are ok.
