ANOTHER F*%#ing problem!

drive it off a cliff while jumping out the door, and claim insurance(jk) but sell it if its really a problem, you will thank yourself when you have a problem free car.

so a blown sub, clunk, and hesitation, i would consider those problems, if you don't then i guess its because of the many problems of the car?? oh well guess thats just me.

Not really a problem...it was crap anyways. That, and the whole enclosure was garbage IMO. So, its more of a blessing that I got to beat the s*** out of it and throw it away.

I seriously think I know what your problem is because I was having the same problem when I replaced my springs. Its a bolt that is connected to the strut and theres a link that goes down to the front sway bar. If that bolt comes even remotly loose you will get that knnockin noise. I swear when I heard it the first time i also thought my wheels were gonna fall off. But you just tighten the screw and you should be ok. Its a screw that has an alan wrench center which you turn one way while turning your wrench the other. To get to this bolt you must take of your wheel first. and it should be right there. with a skinny link connecting to the sway bar. Once you take the wheel of you will know what im talking about. and sorry for all my non technical terms.
Hey MSP FOR LIFE, thanks again for this info. I followed your advice here tonight and it fixed the problem!! This forum is GREAT when you can get help like this!

The wierd thing is that I don't understand 'why' it fixed the problem -- those F-ing bolts on that rod were super-ass tight already and rusted into place. The 1 that faces outward (the easy one) I couldn't move much but the 1 that faces towards the engine (the PITA one) I was able to move about a quarter turn. What a PITA it was to get to that one. How the hell either of them came loose is beyond me...especially since they looked like they were rusted into place! I wonder how long this fix will last now? Without your advice I would have NEVER even tried doing this because those bolts seemed tight enough to me. Thanks again.

was it an expandable bolt.....? I'm not sure if it is or not, sounds like it by what he described. But that would be your answer, those will fill tight, but sometimes they loosen enough, that you wouldn't think about it being loose, and it creates problems.
