ANOTHER F*%#ing problem!

I'm so F-ing tired of this car....I swear it must be held together with chewed bubble gum and silly putty.

I'm going 55MPH down a straight road and all of a sudden I hear a metallic "knocking" noise coming from the front driver's side wheel. It sounded like my wheel was about to fall off so I went straight home, checked the lugs and they're tight. I put her up on blocks and checked around but noticed nothing that looked wrong...the bad end links looked fine. I heard of a couple people with blown front struts but I can't remember what the symptoms were....

Anyway, now if I push down on the front wheel area to make the suspension work it makes this knocking noise. It's very obvious while driving - sounds like the car is going to literally fall apart. So it's off to the F-ING dealer yet again for me. I'm so F-ing tired of going to the dealership...........*sigh*........should have got a F-ing Yugo.

Dont get a 5 blew my trans 2x on a 03 and car died again today with the at light on. Oh and it only has 11,000 miles on it.

I LOVE MY PROTEGE5!!!!

Oh man, that was the first time i got to do that (a la, AGR)!!

but Girth, sorry to hear about your misfortunes with the MSP. are you stuck with it?

I seriously think I know what your problem is because I was having the same problem when I replaced my springs. Its a bolt that is connected to the strut and theres a link that goes down to the front sway bar. If that bolt comes even remotly loose you will get that knnockin noise. I swear when I heard it the first time i also thought my wheels were gonna fall off. But you just tighten the screw and you should be ok. Its a screw that has an alan wrench center which you turn one way while turning your wrench the other. To get to this bolt you must take of your wheel first. and it should be right there. with a skinny link connecting to the sway bar. Once you take the wheel of you will know what im talking about. and sorry for all my non technical terms.

LOL, yup. I remember you said you were going to quit using it and I figured I'd save it away into my userCP in case I ever needed it. Unfortunately, thanks to Mazda, it will forever remain in my userCP now.

Yup I was! I didn't notice you though...I must have been too distracted from all the noise my damn car was making.

Unfortunately nearly all of my vacation time from work is wasted on dealership trips. Pisses me off. I wouldn't mind it so bad if I had more vacation to waste on dealership visits.

I hate to say that I know that feeling. What's the worst though, is when you waste a vacation day to take your 'Speed to the dealership, and they call you up at the end of the day to tell you that they couldn't find the problem. Oh, and since they couldn't find a problem, you now owe them $34 for that loaner car they shoved down your throat.

I knew I should'a bought an RSX.

Yeah, I'm bitter, but I still love my Mazdaspeed :)
