Couple of suggestions since I just built one.
1) Add a backup sub-pump....it nice and pretty cheap
2) Add a reference point in your pictures when taking pictures of the framing...Or else you will never be able to tell what wall you are looking at.
3) Never assume they know. If you think they missed something, they probably did, so bring it to their attention ASAP.
4) If something of the framing does not look right, say something now, cheaper to move things before drywall goes up

5) Make sure they put the light for the garage lights inside the garage. They put mine inside the house which is not bad, but it would have been better if it was inside the garage. I am too lazy to open the door and click on the lights

6) Capture any documentation that comes with your products, lights, fans etc. It will just go in the trash if you don't because they don't care.
