alarm not working....

ok so here's problem,

i left my car parked for a week and when i tried to unlock it yesterday the horn didn't sound like it always did, and the alarm light is always on whenever the engine is not running.

i also tried starting the car when it is locked and the alarm didn't go off....so i guess the alarm is in some kind of silent mode.

i think i have the factory alarm system. anyone knows how to solve this problem??

try turning the key to acc. but not turning on the car and press and hold the unlock remote button if not try the lock button and see if that does the trick to reset the alarm. did that to my 03 Tiburon and that did the trick

i had the same problem so i checked my alarm. check the wires running to your stock alarm
