ajkulish's Build Thread #2

sorry again marlon, i had a really terrible night and i wasnt really in any sort of mood to come race today. sorry for making you drag the tires all the way out there.

sorry i havent been too active lately guys. some good and bad news.

the bad: i got into a very minor car accident the other day. i was on the express way with 2 other people in the car, at full attention. the cars in front of me all started slowing down and then began to lock up their brakes. i responded immediatly and was all over the brakes and downshifting, but no matter how hard i tried i couldnt stop in time. i hit a chevy silverado at about 2 mph and it caused damage to the front of the drivers side fender, and a dent in the hood above the headlight. hopefully i can fix the hood but the fender is no use. its a bummer, but i reacted the best i could and there was nothing more i could do.

the good: the car is still running like a champ. boosting every day at 176000 miles and loving it. the afrs are a little rich but not the worst. i swapped my ksports out for my factory msp suspension yesterday and now i actually have a smooth ride. before, my coilovers were adjusted god knows how far and it was like riding on steel bars. no dampening. also i got my heat working again, put my mudflaps on, and put washers on the 2 bolts holding the midpipe to the apexi n1 catback, since there was a massive exhaust leak. the car feels good, and all i need now is a couple new body panels

Think you can just pull the hood off and hammer the dent out with a rubber mallet or something?

Aj, did you ever upload those videos I sent you of the protege?

well its getting warm out so it looks like its time to start getting some plans going.

plans for the weekend:

new SC outlet, bondo hood dent and fender dent, and try to sell some stuff

how much would you want for a new fender?

and today i got the following done: fabricated a new supercharger outlet that hopefully doesnt leak any air, waiting for the sealant to dry and then ill test it, installed a new power steering pulley, killed my power steering squeal, and installed a carbon fiber fender for a bit, it ran into the door, so i removed it lol. hopefullly tomorrow i will have moar boost!
