Yo tyrant do u have a Win2k machine with IIS running sql server i'll set something up for people to upload and download files if you want.

Got access to a laptop so I'd really like to get mine fine tuned.... At 10 psi I think I'm getting a hint of knock at WOT

ive had mine for couple months now, and still havnt got it installed yet. im waiting to get her dyno'd before i do, and im doing that tomarrow so ill be able to install this on sunday i hope.

I don't know what's up with mine, but I get a very F'd up throttle response every once in a while. Way worse than the hesitation the car came with stock.
Think back to when you first learned to drive a stick shift. Every once in a while you'd let the clutch out a little too soon and the car would jerk like crazy.Well, mine does that through every gear I'd say at least once or twice a week if you push to even half throttle. It's so bad that it's almost impossible to get on the freeway when it's doing it. A minute or two later, everything is smooth as ever. I need to get a laptop so I can get some A/F ratios...

How would the BOV have anything to do with creating an intermittent problem? I can't recreate the problem at all. It's completely random. It doesn't even seem to be weather related...

because at a certain rpm under certain load conditions your bov may be partially opening causing the car to run as you described.

Check all your clamps and hoses. My car behaved exactly like this before I got my AFC. The AFC got rid of most of it. Then I discovered that my stock cold side IC pipe had a crack in it at the PBV nipple. As soon as I fixed this no more bucking. Anytime the bucking returned, I would check my pipes and clamps. Sure enough, something would be loose. Tighten it up, bucking would disappear.

mine did that last nite. drove like s***, drove worse than pre-afc. my foot would be on the gas but it would blow off like 5-10times consecutively from 3-4k rpm while my car buckles back-n-forth. you guys ever year a involuntary turkey coming from the hks ssqv? man its absolutely horrific, it'll make you cringe.

i reset the ecu by unhooking the negative battery line for bout 20 mintues and all was well again. so if it isn't the vac lines, try resettin the afc.

I just broke 60,000 miles so I wanna give the motor a good cleaning and check out all the hoses and fluids as well. Probably gonna put my boost controller back in too since I know that wasn't causing any of the problems I was having.

yea those stupid plastic pipes are a joke for reliability....on a side not website is up and running...

Finally installed my AFC

DSM, this thing works! (cool)

My car is a lot smoother now. Thank you! Now it's fun to drive again...

Guess, I'll have to buy a serial cable now.

later,

Tim Evans
