Airflow Logistics AFC dyno results

As posted above... will there be switchable maps? This sounds so great. I think it'd almost be worth leaving it on stock boost, just so it doesn't look like I can't drive.

Any problems with the ECU relearning yet? (drive)

They tested the car before thay gave it to me and said no. And so far I haven't noticed anything like that and I've put 250 miles or so on it.

What kind of "extra" features can this unit do via the laptop?
I know it can do Datalog

Anything else?

split second controller?

if so this isnt new. Chojiin (shawn t mazdaformance) was using this hin turbo mp3 a while back...

is this a split second controller?

A few questions- I'm sure some of them have been answered. Don't hate.

-I assume this unit is being sold w/o a boost controller?
-Can you switch between an A and B map or does it work like the S-AFC where it only can hold and run one tune?

DAMMIT! Can someone post the dyno sheets PLEASE!

I cant get them to open. For some reason I cant get Adobe to load in my puter and every time I try to open a file w/ Adobe it causes bad things to happen. (help) Still waiting for my buddy that built the computer to come take a look at it to fix it. Its like the ONLY glitch this machine has.

no problem here it is:

stock: zzzZZz...
a/f corrected: hmmm
a/f + 8psi: ahhh
a/f+10psi: YEAAARRGHH!!! (howard dean yell)

so I have to buy a wideband just to tune it? Is that a require ment for all a/f tuners like the apexi or just this one? Maybe do something like for an extra $25 we send you a dyno w/ the a/fs so we dont have to spend all that cash on a wideband..

EVERY* tunable unit requires a wideband for accurate readings and correct results. do you really want to start messing with the fuel curves on your car w/o seeing the results?!

*don't gimme s*** about the J&S or MSD ignition units.

yep. altough IIRC shawn was using a FM o2 signal modifier and still had problems tuning closed loop pcm operation as well as the transition to open loop mode. time to dig in the archives (thumb)

just take it to a dyno and tune it on there, it would be cheaper to spend the $100 or so for an hour of dyno tuning than to buy a wideband sensor.

dyno tuning sounds like a plan, no way im dropping the cash for some gauge with lights on it lol, its cheaper just to buy a spare motor and deto. the **** out of your current one for some smiles. (drive)

Would that not be EXACTLY what this product does with the preset maps that all these people are planning on running lol

Yes, except you're not really "tuning" as much as having the car tuned for you.
