From John (DSMConvert) last night.

As far as what MBC you should use I really have no clue.
i guess that's the answer i need (considering it's coming straight from the source).

so, with that answer, i have yet another question: was there a final verdict on wether or not you could switch maps in-cabin, or was it one map at a time?

i ask because if it's only one map at a time, no use getting a dual-stage bc, but if it's 2 maps, then i WOULD want a dual-stage.

thanks.

Thanx Wiggles. The sheet looks great. MAJOR improvement over whats "normal". IMHO this is something EVERY MSP needs to help the motor for long life. The insanely rich condition we have is possibly borderlining on washing the cylinders. (help)

John, this product looks AWESOME! Excellent work as usual. (rockon) I may not be in on this GB, but its something I DEFINATELY want/need for future plans. (wow)

Sorry, but I will let john respond to your question because I honestly do not know.

Pretty sure it can only hold one tune at a time from what I've gathered.

Here are some pictures of the AFC's

I believe the PSC1 is the controller DSM is tuning for the Proteges.

so how does one go about splicing wires (for the install for this)?

because it's not a bolt-on/PnP, how easily can one revert to stock for whatever reason?

drew.

Man I was hoping it was the APEX S-AFC that they tuned.. hehehe! That would of been cool but it wouldn't hold the tune though (because it would be powered off, or would it hold) ANYWAY, bump to find out what the hell unit they are using and a screen shot of the tuning from the laptop.

Yes we are using a PSC series controller, though it is not the PSC001(Though all the PSC series controllers look the same just with different "guts"). THe PSC001 is a calibrator for a factory map sensor car, ie Jeeps. We're actually using the PSC-020E which was built specifically for the MSP and is not listed on their site due to the fact it is indeed a custom design. But they all use the same R4 software. I've actually been running all over the place setting up the GB, so as soon as I get a chance I'll get up a few screen shots of the software.

****, just looking at those graphs and s*** confuse the hell out of me. I wis I knew how to tune, and I feel dumb for asking people because they have superiority complex or whatever. I don't think it helps either that I know absolutely nothing about computers (I use a Mac half of the time). Anyways, I'm still scared to tune because I have absolutely ZERO knowledge of anything. In fact, I have probably negative knowledge, I'm so dumb.

put me on the GB. thats for sure, i'd love to have one of these asap. dyno's look good and price sounds great. im looking forward to one of these. im ready to go with money and everything.

change of plans...due to several people being out of town I've decided to start the GB on monday so that everyone has a fair shot...hopefully that will make everyone happy for the time being...oh and to answer the map question...the unit itself can only hold one map setting at a time. Obviously your computer can store as many as you can make, but to change them out you will have to connect your comp and upload the new map.

i'm definitely in on this!!!
2nd, Calling San Diego tuners....... anybody else locally getting in on this??? i know nothing about tuning so meeting up with someone who does would be a big plus. PM me if anybody is in on this and wants to get a group install going.

Good to know...
I am assuming that this unit will come with a EBC, if so, how smart is this EBC?

Can it do gear based boost control? (similar to i.e. AVC-R)

I think I will probably get it....not a tuner, but hopefully we will get good support.
