Air Conditioning Problem II

100-degree problem

Took Magnus, my black/sand GT, into the shop today for the door seal TSB (now that the seals they ordered came in) and the A/C TSB (highway operation, 100-degree F ambient, A/C stops working).

New door seals look great, like they'd actually seal; of course the A/C control head that's needed has to be ordered, and is on short supply nationally, due to all the fixes, the service guy said.

Should be a couple of weeks. Fortunately we don't have any more long trips planned, and it works AOK around town as long as you stay friendly with the "recirc" button!

A/C Problem fixed...probably

So the A/C climate control unit finally arrived at my dealer; got the phone call to come in have the TSB done.

Works "fine" on the way home, and this past week. We no longer have the 100-degree heat wave around here, so I couldn't try a several-hour interstate drive in those temps that would duplicate the failure. But there's always next year.

I was pleased that no nicks/gouges/damage occurred as they took the center section apart to replace that control unit. No new rattles either.

So I think I'm done for a while...I'm caught up on TSB's, and have no issues to report!

Trailer hitch is now on, bicycle rack got mounted, time to get some exercise.

My cx-7 blows cold air almost immediately. I'd say 30 seconds or so and there is cold air coming out of the vents.

Now if you are talking about how long it takes to actually cool the interior of the vehicle... there's a whole heck of a lot more hot air to cool down inside a cx-7 than there is inside a mustang, so of course it will take longer before the whole car is cool.
