AFC-SplitSecond PSC1 Map Library

ya, a lot of this stuff are just random hick-ups that happens with the msps anyways, I should most likely solder mine in this summer some time just to rule out anything from there, but really I think some of it, at least for me is the MAF location and random crap like the weather sucking and changing all the time.. the ssafc is great, you'll feel a much more improved drivability and feel overall when you first put it in the car, I love it

what version of ssafc are u all running i have the most upto date 1 and wondering if the maps on here would work.

well theres v1 and v2, the maps work for both.. only thing that is different between them is that the v2 can datalog.. that's about it

oh and to answer your question, I would assume a good deal of the people here are on v2, but either way it doesn't really matter

I think Ken is actually selling a V3 now if I'm not mistaken...not sure if there are any major differences with that either.

edit: maybe I'm just thinking of the HKS SSQV V3

Is kicker's map the best for 440's, and I'll be running 11-12psi and walbro pump and new stock fpr plus all my oher mods? Waiting on pope's full 3in dp also.

okay so i have a question for some people on here
what exactly is the overpressure or rpm setting for? because thats not when the SSAFC starts working

i was having some idle troubles a while back and just thought about it, i added fuel at idle so i wouldnt stall and it kept bumping the idle like i had cams (i only made it like a 10.1-10.2)
so clearly the SS is working at idle, so what are those settings for?

Actually that is when the AFC starts working. If the overpressure is 1 then the AFC will kick on at 1 psi. Your idle should not be changed from the ECU unless you have values other than 10 in the vaccuum range on your map. So anywhere from -30 to 0 should be 10.

yea i know, but when i change the number at the rpm and pressure my idle is at, itll add fuel but the over pressure or rpm settings are still the same
so technically the ssafc IS working before the settings i have set

thats really the only reason i was asking

yup,
i dont need to add fuel at idle anymore cuz i fixed the vac leak that was causing my rough idle, but im still curious as to the whole over pressure or rpm thing
if it works before the settings, then what exactly are those settings there for? thats what is throwing me off

nope lol i was going to but i didnt have the time when i was doing it

i mean my SS works fine, its not a wiring problem im sure about that, just questioning the actual program

I wonder if the overpressure is just when the SS forces open loop

that is what it does, I always figured that adding/taking fuel below the over pressure/rpm settings wouldn't do anything but I guess it does alter the closed loop settings, but as far as the over pressure settings, the ssafc at that point will force open loop..

I've read through this topic at least twice, taken notes and tried a lot of different settings although I know I'm missing some information as theres so much of it.

I still can't floor the car and I've noticed that I go real lean as the map kicks in no matter what the settings are. Its usually only a slight hesitation but it is sort of scary sometimes, what do you guys do when that happens, just power through or let off the gas a little bit?

I know all cars are different etc, but anyone have some experience tuning for headwork? I've got 1mm oversized valves, ported/polished, it seems like I need to keep adding fuel, how much can I add over the standard 10 value before I'm maxing out the stock injectors? I am only running 8psi, stock exhaust with a 2.5in midpipe, cone filter, relocated maf and 2.5inch intake piping so I feel like I shouldn't really be anywhere near maxing out the injectors, does it sound like I'm missing something simple or just need to put in more time learning and tuning?
