Started working on it last night. This is going to be a pretty big project. Enjoy.

This is my sub-floor amp rack. Lexan plates are going into those square holes you see there. Thinking about doing a raised Mazdaspeed logo or SFX logo on it for grins and giggles.

Nice setup. Similar to what I'm going to be shooting for when I... get un-lazi-fied.

not a bad set up. I custom built the box about 2 years ago when I had access to a much better table saw setup a few jobs ago. The port consists of about .5 cu.ft. and the box is 1.25 cu.ft. Total volume is 1.75 cu.ft. The port is a transmission line consisting of 4 turns all corners rounded off and the edges duraglassed smooth. i put about 8 hours worth of work into the design and building of the box.

That is a lot of work for a sub box. I can appreciate that. Looks good, most likely sounds killer.

Sounds beautiful. Treo Engineering makes a hell of a sub. And their amps are phenomenal. Pricey though.

I was a custom audio installer for about 6 years. So, making custom boxes designed for specific reasons isn't too difficult for me, just very time consuming. That particular box is tuned for 36Hz, the sweet spot for the Treo SSI 10.22.

i just got mine off ebay....

not bad. looks like a decent box. Nice specs for the sub as well. Should sound nice.

Here's Treo's site. They are kinda hard to find, but well worth the money. http://www.treoonline.com/ Their amps are well under rated for what they actually do. i.e. The Treo SSX1400.1 states 900w RMS @ 2 ohm where as the actual measuring of the output is more 1200w RMS.

I have always loved the excursion of a W7 :D

Been tinkering with the idea of upgrading to a 10W7v3 for a while now. I just never have had all the money sitting around when I get that hair up my ass.

Only about $2-- used...if you want one let me know and I will see what is available local to me...they seem to always have them...

Not to be a snub, but the one thing I can never bring myself to do is buy a used subwoofer. I've seen how some people abuse them. :) Thank you though.
