Advice on HIDs Plz

Hmm...got my HIDs in today and got them perfectly placed and turned them on...and nothing. Not a thing out of either one of them.

Penny for your thoughts?

I know the harness that connects the original harness (with 12v and ground) can only connect one way, so it couldn't be backwards. What gives here?

UPDATE - WOW, so I finally narrowed it down to the polarity being reversed. Although the harnesses were all attached correctly, they were reversed. So, I had to CRAM the harnesses in backward and wha-lah...working. I noticed eventually that the black and red wires on one side of the harness were reversed on the opposite side. Yeah, wrong from the factory.

Anyone else have this problem with their DDM HID kit?

Before and Afters:

Halogen

Very Nice pics. The cut off looks identical on both Halogen and Xenon.

I will throw in this bit of info...

The xenons are definately sharper in appearence when referring to the cutoff and overall appearence. You can see a conical reflection off the ground in front of the car when you're sitting in the drivers seat. It's very pronounced on the drivers side and somewhat pronounced on the passenger side. This is one of the only annoyances with this kit VS. an actual HID setup. Usually, all the light below the cutoff is uniform and you don't see any type of reflection or outlines underneath the cutoff.

I'm sure that almost all of these side effects are caused because of the use of a projector made for halogens. Switch out the projectors for some high ends and i'm sure that almost all of these problems will disappear.

For only $90 shipped, I couldn't expect much more then what i've got. The upgrade in lighting isn't made fully visable by just the pictures. Overall visability (due to the 4500K light) is MUCH greater then with the stock halogens.

All the sudden, the fog lights (which can be seen out the corners of the car) looks MUCH more yellow when used with your HIDs on.

Yes I had the same issue with my kit.

Did you choose to force/mash the 2 connectors together backwards, or did you cut and splice the wires correctly?

I would have probably spliced them if i'd have known before I tucked all the components away and ran them through the fenders. By the time I knew it wasn't working, I had VERY little room to work and not near enough room to splice the wires.
