AAAhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! my wife !!!!

I am sooo pissed. In Houston last night, there was a big storm that came through. My wife, had my 2007 Speed3 and was getting off of work in the Medical Center. The streets were flooded. I told her not to drive it through high water!!!! GUESS WHAT ----- She calls ,"crying".."I got water in your car"..Man I am soo pissed !!!(pissed) She says the engine did not flood out, but got about 2 " inside the car( due to a wave that lifter the car..according to her reccollection) She finally gets home...I get to work on my car. I'm not kidding, I was at the car wash using the wet vac for 30 minutes..There was soo much water inside... water started to come out of the wet vac system. I kept the car open all night with fans on the interior. I'm taking it tomorrow to get the interior removed and new floor pad. I got the oil changed and chassis lubed at Mazda this am. So far, the bass speaker seems to work and all electronics appear to be ok at this point....

Oh well....she has lost driving priveledges !!

sorry man... thats not the first water story i've read on here... but seriously now did you specify how high?

ouch...

sorry to hear about that!

it could've been worse! good thing it wasn't though, eh? Let us know how the cleanup turns out.

Get her a snorkel CAI and rebadge the car das boot U-3. Your right, a CAI and this car would be a parts car right now.

When I was younger someone had broken into my car and stole my Am/Fm radio and I couldn't get my window fixed no money at all. So anyways my car got flooded one night and about a month later the computer stopped working. (from the flood supposedly) I had bottles floating in my car drilled holes in the floor boards to drain it out. Do you think the same will happen with his car or is the computer located in a different spot? On my eclipse it was under the to the right of the gas pedal

There are companies that do water/mold damage work on vehicles. I'd look one up in the yellow pages. They have them here, but this is Florida. But I'd think there was at least one in the area somewhere. They can usually gaurentee their work.

Women, you gotta love 'em!

If you get a mildew smell going after a couple days, have it steam cleaned, not just shampooed, that should eliminate any odors.

This comes as a surprise? When you gave her instructinos regarding the car, what she heard was "blah blah blah car blah blah", just like when she nags you about picking up your socks for the 10th time or leaving dishes in the sink, you heard "blah blah blah no sex tonight blah blah." Women can't be bothered with such trivial details like not using the car as a pontoon when Macy's is having a sale on shoes.
