damn I never saw that before either, ok its time to get to work

he ran a 13.5 in this video... so I bet its possible... he's always had a traction problem... but this was with his old setup... with his thumper I dont think he's even tracked it... though he said it made the same or more power at MUCH lower boost levels... but that iss to be expected with a GT3037

What about the *possible* crankwalk Beau was talking about? Any evidence that its a problem when producing that much power?

Im only asking Blkzoom...lol
I have not seen any problems with the thrust bearing yet. I wonder if it was caused by aftermarket clutch set up?

Also I would like to see video and hear what these CP piston sound like. I remember MPnick saying they are quieter then JE but still louder then Weisco?. Thats understandable since JE are competition pistons. Jsut saw Azian6ers 13.3 run...that thing was loud!
Not sure about this. I never said they were louder then Weisco.

When i heard deans car running it was not much louder than stock, only thing that seemed louder was that danm reworked t25 screaming (in a good way)..

Sorry misread the thread where you talked about piston slap.

Thats all I wanted to know...that the sound isnt that loud from stock. Sorry I havent been posting much but I am assuming Dean has the same setup?

Stage II or Stage III.
Don't know if that will be enough clutch nick. I had a 6 puck sprung hybrid and it slipped after an hour.

Now I am at a Stage 5. 4 Puck sineterd iron!!!

You don't happen to have a fidanza flywheel do you?

Danm ...is the car even streetable with that clutch..I Know dean(328whp) still has the stock clutch on his car..so like i said before we'll test the limit if doesnt hold we'll try something different. but when i do the tranny im going to try the stage 3 because this isnt going to be an all out drag car, it will spend 95% of its time in the low boost setting. But thanks for the info

Well than that is not it! I'll have the same flywheel as you as I'm having mine machined and lightened. You were using spec clutches? or someone else? I'm seeing "Bully" in your sig. Do you know what the clutch was rated for when it slipped? The spec 3 hybrid is rated for like 450 ft-lbs.

Focus how much did you lighten the flywheel? I was thinking about doing that as well. I have the Spec 3 hybrid on the way as well so I hope the one that you had was not spec.

Eventually I want to get the car at 300hp. But not more than that. I still want my car to be a daily driver. How much do the oliver rods & pistons run? Too many horror stories running around about blown motors and I want my car to push more than the "safe" 7 1/2 pounds I'm running now. Also for 300hp, which is the best and most efficient IC to get? I was interested in the Perrin, but I thought that I may not need something that big. The ION or HIBoost is ok, but not nearly as efficient. But for what I want to do, I'm kinda lost as to which is best for the 300 hp goal and daily driver option. Yes I want to take it to a track every now and then (maybe once a month IF that much). The funds seems to be the only thing holding me back from getting everything all at once. Here's my mods thus far... I still have a helluva long way to go:
Injen CAI, Apex 3" DP, Greddy Sp2 Catback, Forge BOV, & the Unichip. I have an HKS at the house that I'll be putting on once I get my hard pipes with the FMIC, I just have to settle on a brand. I'm also interested in that new manifold that's coming... that threads on here somewhere...

Our FMIC kit is good and very efficient for up to 350 HP. We also have a good deal on the Piston/Rod assemblies for up to 350 HP or 500HP.

Our car makes over 300 WHP and runs 12 seconds at the 1/4 mile with that intercooler.

PM me if you want more information about it. They are in stock and if you have the BOV, then the price is below $800.00

Juan

Juan does the p5 kit use a different end tank design... b/c the endtank design on the msp seems very restrictive along with the 90 degree bends.
Also any chances of getting your p5 up to 400whp in the near future.Dyno?
Thanks,
Matt

Nick and/or others. Are any of you using deck plates when honing the cylinders? Or just doing it without the deck plate?

remember that the MAM fmic for MSP is coming out soon... its the same IC as the thumper and SS kits, so its good up to 500hp. also it comes with the intake pipes also, so if you have an Injen you could sell it and save some money. its also going to be very competitively priced vs the competition. its in the MSP section somewhere.
