300

Saw it in the IMAX on Saturday and again yesterday at a lowly regular theater. Awesome both times!

I think all of our fellow forum members with IMAX theatres playing the 300 should boycott the screening in a show of solidarity with members who can't see it at their local IMAX.....but thats just me.

That would just make the problem worse, and make them think that people wouldn't be willing to see it on IMAX on release day.

LOL @ Jomo's pics.

I saw it on opening day on a normal theater. My IMAX didn't have it.

I thought it was a good movie, well filmed, good art direction, etc. I was however a little let down by the storyline. Kinda felt like something was missing.

The Verdict: I was expecting a GREAT movie, and it ended up being a really good movie instead. I personally prefered Sin City over this one...it had a much better plot, and still had some good action.

Very awesome movie! I want to go see it again. This time not at a sold out threater. I had to sit in the second row.

Damn, so much hype got me pumped. Everyone saying "the movie was the best thing since sliced bread and stuff". I finally get a chance after a long week, of everyone at work telling me "Dude you got to go see it !!! its incredible, best movie of our time." And to my disappointment the movie isnt all that great. :(

Maybe it was cuz I knew the real story of the 300, but I dont know, I was just expecting TOO MUCH ..

the real story is a lot more boring. the problem is that people go into a movie trying to associate it with the real deal and get disappointed, just like with many other movies. and then most fail to appreciate this as just a movie without any affiliation with previous events. just like the da vinci code, many christians avoided seeing it or reading the book because of what it depicts, when it was a great fictional book and movie to read and watch regardless of what it portrayed.

You know what another great work of fiction is.....the Bible!

We are talking about movies, how did the bible come into this. Worthless post.

His other book with Robert Langdon is actually better. Angel and Demons.

Anyone else agree?

Saw it twice already and it was very good both times.

First time was in the IMAX....awesome!

On a side note there were some losers dressed as Spartans when I was there. Very funny.
