You can blame that on the Mazda P.O.S> job they did on the head of the FS engine. Undersized valves, and crappy cams amungst other things. It doesnt breath as good as Honda, Toyo, Nissan heads that are on engines about 10 years more advanced.

VERY nice numbers. It's more like 287-289whp when it's SAE corrected, but still very nice numbers. Makes me like the TC that much more.

thats a little off par with what Juan from hiboost is getting. I'd bet their numbers would be VERY close.

2.4L turbo @ 10psi = 290whp

Mazda3
2.3L turbo @ 7psi = 245whp

Looks like thats right about even...give or take a little. Plus Juan still has some fine tuning and turbo selecting to do.

p.s. I just noticed the Scion was running a hybrid T3/T4 turbo....damn...thats a LOT of air. Juan is using a smaller turbo than this and getting similar numbers. I'd hate to see what would happen with the same turbos on each motor.

actually the TC puts out over 265 @ 7psi (both dyno charts are posted) and this is running pretty lean, not nearly done tuning yet either.

so I wouldn't call it even, maybe close.
