225/45/r17 on MSP

if stock wheels and lowered ~1-1.5" you will rub. well, at least with falken fk-452s

damn marc...long time no see here....
anyways i run 225's on my 18s and i rub. getting tired of it. its 225/35/18 btw and when i set the tire next to my 17s with 205/45/17 tires they are the same height

stock wheels? do they rub in the front or back? I would only rub the fronts on the inside during full steering lock w/ stock wheels and a 1-1.5" drop.

James- sending you and Charles a PM right now. Glad you made it back ok from your summer travels.

I run the the pro kit springs that are 1.8 front and rear and run 225/45/17 in the falken rt-615's ALL DAY LONG WITHOUT RUBBING. ( that sounds wrong) anyways, I never had a problem. that is with stock rims too.

its the offset on my new rims im pretty sure, i dont know what to do. its hard to part with them but i might have to sell them :(

does anyone know if a 52mm offset would rub with 225/45 r17 tires?

My guess is that's OK, but at the limit on the fender side (+8 mm compared to stock). It would stop the rubbing from the inside with some 225 tires

Actually you don't neet to. I forgot to mention that I'm running 3mm spacers (= 52mm offset) and I'm not rubbing at all with my 225

I'm running 215/45/17 (stock wheels) on sportlines with no rubbing. But I'm wanting to go with 215/35/18 offset:42 and keep the sportlines. Will this work?

That's what I'm running. Only if I turn too fast does the tire hit the suspension or something. And if I hit a bump while not slowing down for it, the back rubs. The front is A- Ok however.

I had 225/45/17 Falken FK-451's with stock msp wheels and goldline springs and it never rubbed.
