Okay, so I'm real close to pulling the trigger on this car @ $15,995 before TTL but I've got a couple concerns.
Google searches for "Mazda6 issues" are not confidence inspiring. Based on the J.D. Power automotive studies, US News gave the M6 a 5/10 (Mediocre) reliability rating. Apparently 2007-2008 saw several low mileage engine failures (spun bearings) and majority of those were not warrantied by Mazda ( see here: http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f1718f9/0 ).
So here's the help I need -- What specific engine and drive train changes have been made from 2009 to 2010? I know the engine went from a 2.3L to a 2.5L, but what did they change to achieve this? We intend to keep this car for 5-10 years and I want to be convinced that this is a purchase we will not regret.
Thanks in advance,
Adam
