Kev, II ::

It would be funny as hell if you recorded your impressions of the G3 brackets, upon opening up the box, then putting them on the car with NO GAP, and posting it up to the board here. I can just here it now... LOL

Yeah, no problem. I can take some nice "daytime" pics for Newf now that the snow is gone and it is light beyond 5:00pm. (lol2) I will post plenty for you. Broken driverside light and all. (wink)

Yeah, kinda like when your wife interuppted your "MF b**** session". LOL Think of it as a "Homer" Simpson. Hell, we could use you as a testimonial (with your persmission). Call it an Internet Infomercial. (how serious am I or aren't I?)

wait.....WHAT!?(uhm)
I'm not understanding the Homer reference, infomercial?

Forget it - Homer Simpson is an American Icon, utilized by the mass marketing media this great nation is built upon, is "Doh!" phrases are known world wide, and at one point there were infomercials on late at night that resembled how Homer's character was but by individuals trying to sell products in real life.

Whatever! LOL

ATTENTION: POTENTIAL CANADIAN CUSTOMERS

A few of you have recently purchased the G3 brackets.

As you are aware, I'm awaiting to here how much "duty" if any you will have to pay on the $50.00 order.

Furthermore, the shipping cost (including declaration) of sending these brackets is three times the cost we have anticipated.

We have updated our web page to "exclude" on-line ordering of these brackets from Canadian customers. This is not to say we will not sell to you - we will. We will just need to revise our price and would like feedback as well.

Expect the price to go to $70.00 SHIPPED. If you are interested, please PM me on this messaging forum.

Thank you.

I just talked to UPS here in Montreal (Lachine):

Their Customs service charges 35$CDN for the package, excluding applicable charges. So I informed them I'll be doing this myself and have to call back tomorrow to know if the papers are ready. Their adress is 1221 32nd avenue in Lachine, in the industrial park. Those interested call 1 800 pick ups, choose language then option 3 and have your tracking number ready. The rest of the story will continue as it unfolds...

Translation:

Crap for anyone living in the Windsor, Ontario area. I'd be willing to drive them across the border. (silly)

Better yet: place the brackets on your car and drive to Windsor, give them the brackets and put the original grilles back on, drive home...simple!

Can you deliver to Montreal?

I don't know how you have shipped so far, but a little tip

DO NOT SEND ANYTHING VIA UPS FROM THE US TO CANADA!

They are the WORSE !

Send USPS, and you won't even have to worry about duties and it's way cheaper at least 4 me it has been. I do this ALL the time. Or even FED EX( small things only though), but NOT UPS. Their horrible.

Brian, I don't know why you say shipping is included anyways. Seems that it can vary so much. I say leave the price at 50, and shipping cost is covered by the purchaser. But hey, that is just me.

Just a quick question: I am at school and the lights are at home and while I am waiting to get home for the install I want my dad to extend the harness for me. So the question is am I extending the switch wires 3 ft and thats it , or the other wires as well? From what I can see it looks like 8 wires to extend into the cabin area. Thanks.

Pete

I got my G3's!!!!! Thanks Brian, they look good. I will have them installed on Thursday I think. (usa)

Sorry no deliveries to Montreal. (lol2)

It's not the whole harness. It's only the wires that run/connect the switch. I'm assuming you have the halo style with switchable colors rings.

Looks nice. How hard are these to install? Is there a wire down there that gets activated with the headlights?

Very very easy, the whole wire harness is plug in. Just don't rush, run the wires and after wire tie/ele tape or wire loom and button down the clips. Yes, it's the purple wire, it's switched power. That sould be run so something has to be on for the potential to have the fog lights on. I used my parking light.
