How many people have 19's on their proteges... and how well does it fit.. or how hard is it to get it to fit. Any size suggestions?

19's are pushing the limit. of course it depends on what you've done to your suspension etc... can you run them sure, bt you may have some rubbing problems etc...send rishie a pm, he can help.

I am running Arospeed rs-gts in a 19X7 with 215/35 Pirellis. Slight rubbing on the passenger front fender when I corner hard, no rubbing on back at all. I am lowered 2" with sprint springs. I will try to post a pic, but the P5 is nasty from all the horrible weather we have been having. Pretty much left it sitting in the garage for a week:D

I too am considering gettin 19's....what offset is required? I have NO suspension mods yet, so clearance may not be an issue at this time. I just dont want to get tires that are too wide and rub like a b**** every time I turn. I know that I am going with a 35 series tire, because it is pretty damn small and will lessen the likelihood of rubbing. I am currently all stock with wheels and suspension. I have also heard that if you up your wheel size by more than 2" you also should recalibrate your speedometer and odometer, is this true?

i have 19's they are a 42mm offset. And have a 215/35 tire, no rubbing at all. lowered 3 inches total and i shaved the rear lip. only because i'm thinking of getting airbags, and i didn't want to chance it...

Heh.. I guess I can go 19's... except the rims I want are $1499 for 18's and $2199 for 19's

Washed my car today and thought I would post a pic with the new wheels.

This is another shot. No rubbing at all on the back, even loaded down, but the front scrubs when I corner hard. It is a light rubbing mainly on the plastic liner, I am just glad about the back. Still not use to how big they look. :-) Thanks RyanJay, your car looks sweet with them, so I figured they would look good on mine.

did you get the gunmetal? they almost look darker in your pics than in mine... maybe just the camera or lighting though

they are hyperblack. the inside of the wheel is painted shiny black, looks really good. washing these wheels is so freakin easy. I can fit my arm up in the spokes easy. Only went with 19s in this wheel because they are only 7" wide and have a +45 offset. I figured the skinnier rim would tuck better than a 7.5" wide rim. speed and style rocks. I ordered them last monday and they got here last friday. damn good service. took me a whlie to clean the silicone off the sidewalls. guess they couldn't use just soapy water to set the bead:D :D

yeah, I had good luck with Speed and Style too... did you get them before the sale ended?

I can't make up my mind whether to go with 17's or 18's.
:wtf:
Lol, I spoke to you on AIM about it, 18's w/2.5" drop.
But, DAYUM , the p5 looks insane w/19"s too bad the city roads suck.

cool,, it was like a fire sale there for a while. I'm glad you got a killer deal on them
