18x9.5 +25 offset on a lowered speed6? problems?

I admit, after seeing the above Photoshop it looks good from profile when lowered
Guess the fender gap was throwing it off big time as far as looks.
I'm still not sold on the concave-ness of the spokes though.

hahahhaha dude you even tinted the windows lol. It looks good man thanks! It'll look just a little different since the tires poke and I'll be getting the car led tail lights! Thanks for the artwork hah.

I also took out the gas cap lol, I get creative sometimes on photoshop when I'm bored. Now back to studying :(

hahhaha i looked at it first on my palm phone and now on the laptop. yeah the gas cap is either getting a flat black treatment or a whole new regular 6i gas door. the teins will do a 2" drop about so just enouhg to cover the cap and not sink the tires, but your picture gives me the idea. if you're ever bored again feel free to do one with just the gap cut out lol.

you my friend have a true gift :D

yay i knew it'd look better dropped.

however i dont think it will be that sunk looking with his offset/size.
once he works out the right fitment for his drop, it will look clean albiet it will have a bit too much poke for my taste :D

lordy i love that picture!! crispy subject focus... what apature/exposure/ISO?

:) Dont know Its some guys car on a subie forum.. I would like to know as well. I cant ever take pics like that :(.. Then again I need a new camera. Im honestly thinking about getting those wheels though.. but with the 35 or 28 ET offset to get it more flush.

On my WRX i have some Gram lights optimize 17x7.5 with like an 48 et offset :( Nice wheels but the size and Offset suck then again its just a DD car

If you want that 2" drop, go with the H&R's, RPM springs are also good, they won't drop you as much as 2", but maybe around 1.5". I have the 522's 18x8.5 on H&R springs without a roll.

^^alca0811, any big photos of your car? Looks pretty low from your avatar/sig, I'd like to see some more!

Yay about the H&R's. No about the RPMs. great springs for sure, i have em... but he wont get the drop he wants. They dont go quite to 1.5" even, its more like a 1"~1.2".

I was like him, "couldnt afford coils at the time", but hated 4x4. in the end, i honestly wish i just saved up a couple more months and gone straight to coils. 1 year later, im finally researching for a set. lol

@ alca0811 - you don't have the fenders rolled? my rims are good right now with slight rubbing in the rear (only once) but they're also wider than yours...i plan to do the roll when the springs get here and although the h&rs give a 1.5ish drop i think i need the teins with a 2ish drop...my clearance is pretty bad as the first pic shows...and i think 1.5ish isn't enough.

that being said, do you have the adjustable camber ball joints for the speed 6?

Initially the H&R's gave me a 1.7" drop, but once settled, it was more like a 2" drop all the way around. And, no, I don't have my fenders rolled; but my 522's are only 18x8.5"

holy crap, your rear fenders are NOT rolled and you running 8.5"??? unless you are running super sunk offset, that is unheard of not to rub.
rear fender lips stick into the fender nearly 1 full inch! lol.

that's what I'm saying! What camber in the front ? We all know the speed6 needs aftermarket adjustable ball joints...so will I need these on my 9.5 rim with this 2 inch drop ?

^^^ was that a fat joke? keke. what a jerk!! lol
well than thats impressive & odd. what offset/camber?
Offset is +48, with stock camber.

Remember, again, mine are only 18x8.5 so I can do that. With your 9.5 inch rim, you probably will need a fender roll and adjustable ball joints.

aha that explains it, +48 isnt all too aggressive, and from the pics looks like you have a slight tire stretch = easy tire tuck when hitting corners or rough road. clears the air. :D

uh yay dterranova, we said it many times already... you are guaranteed to need fender roll, and most likely camber adjustment. lol
