Fwd rear wheel hub replacement

I am replacing the rear wheel hub on our fwd cx7. I've got the old one out but I can't get it out of the dust shield/backing plate. Dies anyone have any tips on how to get it out? Thanks

No one seems to be active on this forum anymore. I think it should be merged with the cx9 forum. If any one cares, I was able to get therear wheel hub out this morning after pounding it with a sledge hammer.
