18x9.5 +25 offset on a lowered speed6? problems?

@rhoadblock - no and it's killing me driving this SUV. i told myself i'd go coilovers over summer since i just picked up a 2nd job, but for now i'm going with the h&r springs. i got the spc joints for the front so i can adjust the camber.

what camber are you running? and how slammed is your car? markspd6 will most likely be rolling my fenders so after that's done my car should transform into a car again lol.

Up front I think I had about 1 degree of camber set on the ball joints. Then with the natural camber front dropping so low the front is at about -2 or so. The rears are at about -3.5 to -4. That's natural camber plus maxing out the factory camber bolts. I was surprised how much camber you could get out of the factory bolts. Granted you have 13mm (~1/2") less inner clearance than I do (9.5" wide +38 vs 9.5" +25) but I think in the rear you should still have plenty enough clearance to run that much camber if you need.

I'm running BC Coilovers. Maxed out in the rear, pretty damn low up front, but there's still plenty more room to lower up front (for when I go back with 18s). I've got my fenders hammered flat and pulled at all four corners, but with your higher offset I don't think you'll need the pull, just the aggressive roll - pending your tire size of course. What tires are you running? And what size?

@ @rhoadblock; hey man ive seen ur car on youtube. it looks sick!! im from bradenton south of brandon...do u know about any meets going here in fl?

@rhoadblock - i'm running 225/45 all around. i wanted to go up to 235. the car came with brand new toyo proxes 4. what kind of camber would you suggest i run? and yeah i was only planning on getting them rolled...the pull is something i was trying to shy away from...

see im not a man of camber im a man of use. you could say so how dose one adjust these stock camber bolts.
They're really easy. If you get under your car you'll see them and the camber plates facing the back. Loosen the nut on the backside of the car to where it still holds a lot of tension, but you can rotate the camber plate with the bolt.

God these pics have been whored out so much already but here's something for you to reference.

These are 19x9.5 +25 with 225/35s. Camber is about -2 up front and -4ish in back. With your specs you won't NEED as much camber as I did to get it to fit. I'd imagine -2 to -2.5 would work in the rear. That would give you enough camber to look aggressive, but not completely demolish your tire wear either. And I don't really think you'll need a pull, just get your fenders as flat as possible. You should almost be able to slam your BCs as low as mine and not have to worry much about rubbing. And since your running a taller sidewall, you'll tuck really nicely. I suggest running all four corners at full hard tho lol. That's all based off of 225/45s tho. I can't remember if Proxes 4s tend to run wider or narrower but 235/45 will definitely make things more complicated with the extra 10mm of width and slightly taller sidewall. A 235/40 wouldn't be as bad as a 235/45, but would still put you much closer to your fender. May need a slight pull, may need an extra half degree of camber, a few mm higher ride height, etc. if you do go up to a 235.

thanks for the tips! i'm installing the springs and front spc joints in the same sitting so i'll have to PM you a day before i start the whole ordeal and see if i forgot anything. i'm looking to do this fairly soon and markspd6 is gonna be the one to roll my fenders. next friday i get paid so i'm planning on cruising up to him sometime after. i'll see if he's an expert at pulling too lol.

in your professional opinion, what springs should i go with until i get the BCs on? SHURIK just pm'd me selling a set of eibach sportlines for $200 shipped, but i can get the h&r springs for $220 and pick them up on the way to have markspd6 roll my fenders.

Werd. In my HONEST opinion...don't settle for just springs now. Put that $200+ towards the BCs. Save up hardcore for a few more weeks. If you keep searching you'll find them FS on forums' classifieds for a decent price every now and then. If not, you're 20%+ on your way to coilovers anyway. And coils are just so easy to install, to me at least. I've taken mine on/off a few times already. I can probably get all four corners off and back on in less than two hours in my driveway.

Plus the fact that you'll want to be able to adjust your height and dampening level with your poke. Springs may be to soft (too much travel = rub city), may be too low/high, etc. Hope I don't disappoint your excitement of going lower soon, but just my honest 2 cents.

@rhoadblock - yeah i know it's just mony towards coilovers i'm blowing, but i honestly need a quick fix before i go insane. my tax returns will probably have to be used to pay off bills, so coilovers might not be in my near future. can we adjust the stock rear camber? i thought i heard somewhere that we can...

the springs are rated at 1.4 front 1.3 rear and i've had multiple ms6 owners say the settle at no more than 1.7...which shouldn't rub with a good fender roll.

@mazdaspeed619sd - expect them next week sometime...i have to pay bills and then see how much i have left over...my girlfriends bday is this week and i spaced out...so some spring money mgiht have to go to her lol. where's your pics? i'm in sd all the time and it's only like 45 minutes from my house.

hey man i posted new pics...the car rides great im thinking about getting coilovers soon...after i get my dp lol

Yeah stock camber can be adjusted. Pretty heavily too. My rear camber is from the factory camber bolts. It's about as much as you can get out of them, but it's pretty impressive how much they gave us to play with from factory.

You have the complete autoexe kit besides the wing? I have just the front spoiler, rear splitter, and grille. The grille, splitters in the rear, and front spoiler cost me like over 2g... I love coilovers they are stiff.. But you can match a spring set with a shock set and be just as stiff my Rx7 was stiffer than any car I had with coilovers. That being said I had a good setup RSR hard downs with tokico set at 5.. Purely neutral car no roll at all as in zero roll in turns.
That being said I dont know if the MS6 has the options available. I got the HR springs could of easily got coilovers etc but i have 2 other cars to mod so.

@KrGsMrNKusinagi - so how do the h&rs fair on your ms6? like the post says my car is on 18x9.5+38 rims with a stretched 225. rhoadblock has warned me of the springs settling and being low enough to the point where the roll would still rub if i moved up in tire width. what did your h&rs settle at? and are you saying good shocks are hard to come by for the ms6?

I dont have the HRs on yet my friend.. They will be on Probably next week. I will post some photos for you when its done ok. I know your probably 99 percent gonna rub with your setup.. Im guessing that is :_
I know your not suppose to cut the bumpstops or whatever there called the Micro Cellular Jounce Bumper. I think if you cut em then the car will be lower I know on some cars it does that it will settle more.

dude dont worry u r not gonna rub...im running ur same set up and im not rubing at all i have tein stechs, and im sittiong on 2254518 and the car rides perfect I even had 2 ppl on the back of the car...just make sure u roll ur fenders thats it....

@krgsmrnkusinagi - hmmmm well glanata86 does have a valid point. i keep forgetting he's beat me to the punch with these wheels and springs lol. he has tein stechs and i'm willing to bet those settled pretty low. the h&rs are only 1.7 max....so i guess i have to ask:

@glanata86 - what did your springs settle at? and can you send me a pic of the fender gap?
