You gotta ease the clutch out, and sometimes push it in a lil when launching to get the best possible launch. With hard motor mount you could pop it but not with stock ones.

mspeed03point5 youll get use to the car and learn how to drive it. I sucked @ first and was mad b/c it was kinda embarrassing. I use to launch at all different kinds of rpms and either it would bog or spin and have wheel hop. I would suggest getting the front motor mount changed so you can launch around 3000 rpms. That is where about I launch right now and feather it.

Yeah... AWD is a totaly different animal.

InsidiousMSP I was running @ 14 psi. I wish I had an exhaust but its stock right now. I think I would run a 13.8 if I had the exhaust done if not faster. Im pretty sure Ill be in the really low 13s with some drag radials along with the exhaust. I want to upgrade the clutch in the near future, I think that will help a lot. What psi were you running for the 14.3 run?

Hm, sounds like you have the same mods as me except FMIC. Did you trap higher than 98mph that night? My 14.3 @ 98.5mph was at about 12.5psi, leveling off to 11psi. I would expect alteast another 3-4mph with FMIC.

rev as high as u want but u need to let the clutch out accordingly

once u feel its about to hop slow down on letting out the clutch

awr motor mounts are well worth it 1 month with my mp3 and my motor would rock back and forward 6 inches just by touching it with stock mounts

I would not purchase a 03.7 msp if aftermarket mounts werent available.

InsidiousMSP - i wish it was cold but this was on a pretty hot ass day. so the i/c isn't efficient off the line. if it was @ night, it would be 13's easy all the time, I think. i did trap 102 on one run but it was like a 14.3 or so.

Yeah my friend was pissed because his fuel tuning got messed up once he turned up the boost on his FP Green turbo (T4 wheel in a mitsu center/exhaust). For being on pump gas it was pretty good and with the MPH he's definetly worthy of mid 12's. I have a feeling once he's tuned it may be possible for low 12's @112-114mph on 91 octane. Race gas look out.


I also think I've seen your MSP around El Camino Real as it was one of the first I had seen locally (at least 6-8months ago). I vaugely remember seeing the FMIC with dealer plates still on it.


[edit]Know what I think we have some mutual friends as I was at that show you have video of your car in the MI booth. Do you happen to know Mario who was there talking with Brian (the guy with the White WRX in their booth also).

i live in the east county so i'm not sure, i've also had my msp since december. i'm everywhere so who knows, it could of been me.
