Ahaha yeah, trust me taking a pic at that speed was stupid. I was like shaking trying to turn the camera on. I snapped one shot and slowed down. The car actually handeled great at that speed, but the wind, WOW, the wind sounded like I was in a tornado.

Yup only 12K miles. I work a mile away from my house.

But from the look of smp's picture he seems to be doing slightly over 140 mph at 6000 rpm's. So 150 doesn't really seem too impossible. 140 man that's crazy, the fastest I've ever went was 125 in my friends rsx type s. And I was shittin bricks doin that. How'd you manage to take a hand of the steering wheel and snap a picture. That definately takes some balls. And is that only 12,000 miles I see. Man, i got you doubled. Damn long ass commute to work any how.

Gearing won't allow it. The only way to go over what gearing allows is to be going top speed fast to begin with then some how push in the clutch to try to go faster...

Remember, the speedo isn't going to be on for every speed. The speedo will be a few mph above or below at any given rpm...It is only dead on in a specific range.

Finally got my Digicam today!! (2thumbs) So I decided to take a little drive and test the governer theories and transmission comments. Remembe rI am boosted and now running at about 8.3 psi.

Did I go any faster than this????? No... I got scared and slowed down to 65 (I was onthe freeway) before I even saw another pair of headlights behind or in front of me.

I do not suggest nor condone going this fast or even over the enforced MPH.

Hey SMP3000, is your steering wheel alignement off? On the pic, it seems you're heading a bit to the left, and at that speed, with one hand busy with the camera...

Nope, no allignment issues. It must have veered to the left a bit when I was trying to manage the camera. It wasn't a sharp movement oboviously. Like I said, there wasn't anyone near me so I pretty much had the entire freeway to myself.

Man that is wierd your RPM'S are running nearly 5900-6000rpms at 141-142mph. When i went to washington for Vacation, on my way back home i took the MP3 up to 132mph at 5700rpms and i was on an incline, coulda gone more but let off. my rpms were kinda nearly close to yours but i was doing only 132mph when your reading 142mph. did your turbo change the rpms alittle bit at all????(scratch)
