13.3 on 116 - Praise me

ok heres a true full on drag cars slip. Me and my father have a low 11 high 10 chevystang (mustang with chevy motor and tranny) My father couldnt get traction either till the top of second gear. ok heres the times

the car usually runs 11.3 with 118-117mph.
So once again Your times do not add up! sorry but true!
 
you also have a 1.158 sec 60', try pulling that with a fwd car. rwd/fwd/awd times/speeds will be different and are tough to compare
 
Yes true but still et and traps are close no matter what fwd rwd or awd im at the track every weekend i see all types of cars racing. ET and traps are math you cant get down the track in 12 sec at 90 its impossible! just like 119mph in 13 sec doesnt make sense! MAybe im confused i worked 12 hrs today and should be sleeping right now i have work in 7 hrs! So please somebody tell me if im wrong without flaming me. thanks and if your times are true right on s*** i cant wait to start building up my msp!
 
there is a range that they will generally be in, but with lots of traction (like a rwd car) you can get down much faster with a lower trap than a fwd would take for the same time. you can compare but there will always be differences.
119mph (even though the topic says 116) could be very possible on a 13 sec time if you don't get any traction but have a very powerful car that pulls hard up top, like many torquey fwd cars. probable? no, because most people can drive somewhat. def. possible though.
 
ok this trap speed wa son a g-tech as well or he eyballed it when the quarter mile thing flashed so it could be a few mph off too.

Kenetix who did your engine internal work for you? Also, did you REALLY have a dealership sponsor you?

Mustang tend to be the king of traction at the local tracks- I have seen low 13 sec stangs pull the wheels. They usually run nasty ET's with so-so MPH. I have also seen Supras in the 12's at over 120 mph with decent (1.8 or so) 60' times, but not driving worth a damn.. There are a lot of things to consider.. You cannot compare a RWD drag car to a FWD handling car though. I would believe it if other things added up..

Kenetix- I am glad you owned up to, that is more than most would have done. I could have blown your spot up back when you bought an MBC and my gauge pod off me a few months back (after this thread), but I figured you had plans for the car and no harm was done :).

To all those who gave me s*** through PM's and what have it and said I didn't know Kenetix "so shut the **** up" Once again- I told you so :).. Whenever you doubt me or my opinion- DON'T :).. I have been doing this s*** a LONG time.. Now, let's bring up that 227 WHP thread again :).. I am ready for another I told you so :)..

I am not trying to be a dick to anyone, I know when there is BS and I know when there isn't. It doesn't matter, Kenetix turned out to be pretty cool to BS with and his claims didn't bother me after talking back and forth with him a few times. As I said, no harm done, so I didn't care. I have seen worse claims then his- do you know how many "9 second" cars I have totally DESTROYED with 12 second cars and how many 11 second cars I have seen go 14's at the track? There are also the "it runs 10's(or 11's)" 8 and 9 second turbo/nitrous/blower sleeper V8 cars a few friends have too- so it goes both ways :). I know what it takes to do what :).. If I seem arrogant at times, it is only because I am sick of the mis-information- whether it be people making false claims, people saying claims are false when they are clueless and the claim is true or people saying what will or won't work because their "cousins best friends brothers nephew's girlfriend" used it to modify her vibrator- so therefore they know for a facty it will/won't work with their (insert car brand here)..

I have seen it on Mustang boards, Camaro boards, DSM boards, WRX boards, this board, etc. It just hurts the group- and more importantly- it's reputation among the rest of the automotive community that's all..

ok this is old thread but its late and i read the whole thing. this guy is more full of it then the other guy!!!!! come on now no one called bs on a 1.15 60ft? that is good for a 6 second pass in the quater mile
 
mustangs launch pretty hard, i don't entirely doubt that 60ft time with some nice slicks on, especially if he's good enough to pull a .005 rt. it seems a bit low, but not totally impossible. plus he probably doesn't have a lot of topend (probably supercharged and chevy), so his et isn't as low as it could be

so some searching pro mod cars only 60ft 1.09 to 1.15's and they run 6's in the quarter.u could ran a 1.15 60ft then shut the car off and still run what he did!!!!! in the 1/8 with 35mph
 
Lol, probably because most weren't even paying attention at that point. Notice the "didn't get traction until 2nd gear" comment coupled with that awesome 60' time :). A friend runs low 8's and his 60's aren't quite that fast (close though :) ).

well his is my case. why he didnt or anything running under a10.0 in the quater is going to 60ft that good.i had a mustang that 60ft a 1.44 with a 6.88 1/8 at 100mph then 10.59 @ 127 in the quarter.
 
first off jonboy i will post my slips if you realy want them to prove your an asshole! secondly I am runnig a chevy in my stang but its NA. I dont have a scanner but ill go and take a pic of my slip with my camera phone and send them directly to you jonboy! I dont have the slip in question here but i have my most recent one.
