What have you done to your P5 today?

Nah. It was a shell only. Hadn't been driven in over 15 years.

Damn Phen....I didn't think yours was that bad underneath! Helluva deal though for whoever bought it for parts.

Look what arrived today....:)

^^^ What he said!

Do you have a build thread or more pics? I love white P5's. Very clean and well done, mate.

Phen's car rolled into town Saturday and we jumped on it like Jackals. I took the Protege5 emblem (with some metal and paint) and jacked the A/C control unit. Phen, then was a CD case behind the Glovebox with one CD in it marked "Resume"

Took the head in to get the seals done. Learned the difference between exhaust and intake seals :) and took two of my pistons in to have them replaced. Only two cause I thought the others were in good knick. Im kinda scared though, I think I may have forgotten which cylinders which pistons came out of... Everyone I've talked to said that I need to remember which ones went where. where know I have 2 in the right spots im 90% sure. The others, im hoping.

Either way, im closer to fixing her up :) I need to work the cylinders a bit to get some of the mirrored finish off some. Guy said he had a tool for $25 so I might pick that up as an early Xmas present to myself or something.

I have a torque wrench now but im wondering if it'll be okay cause it only goes down to 25 ft lbs and i think (iirc) the head bolts are 15-16ish ft lbs... The thing spins lower than the 25 but if its not on the scale, i dont know if it'll be accurate. I wish i could post pics but its not on me at this point in time.

on a brighter end note, I found out my stereo has 3 preamp outs. :) no need to spend there! (I think I said that somewhere else... Im not sure if I repeated myself... :S)

Thanks guys! Unfortunately I don't have a build thread, I'm more of just a lurker on the forums haha. But I think ima enter in MOTM this month and give it a try.

Well, you have the right requirements in order to get a lot of votes.

1) Clean
2) Protege
3) Not slammed.

Do it up!

Rolled over 168K on the way to the office this morning.

whitempro5, looking good and I'm with Phen....do it!

Hank, can't see the pics at work but I'll def. check them out later. Did you end up using the MSM tip?

Cam, so you are the one that bought the last of the 22V Trinity, congrats!

^^^Cool!

AWR side inserts showed today but just left a voicemail with Tony at AWR. Contents of the package included two 1205, one 1206 and one 1207 insert. As the DS inserts aren't mentioned numerically in the directions I'm guessing the 1206 and 1207 go there as the directions state to use 1204 and 1205 for the PS. So looks like I need a 1204. Once I get this I can get them installed and get a new inspection sticker.

Oh yeah, while digging out my Firestone alignment receipts I found a receipt from 2006 when I bought Kumho AST's for the car. $60ea with free shipping! LOL

Going thru the Firestone specs I could not find one from Oct. of 2006 that mentioned rear camber was not adjustable on our cars...they just told me that last month?! But looking back here are some numbers for the rear camber on the car....

11/10/12 - Before - LR -1.6 RR -0.6....After - none
10/27/12 - Before - LR -1.3 RR -0.9....After - LR -1.2 RR -0.9 Note....they checked it off as an 06-07 AWD Murano...WTF!?
6/3/12 - Before - LR -1.2 RR -0.8...After - none
11/19/11 - Before - LR -0.8 RR -1.0...After - none
4/22/11 - Before - LR -0.4 RR -1.0...After - none
1/15/11 - Before - LR -0.9 RR -0.6...After - none
8/28/10 - Before - LR -0.7 RR -0.7...After - none

Still trying to figure out how they spec'd my car to an AWD Murano.... Are the differences in numbers anything to be worried about seeing that they have not made any adjustments over time?
