What have you done to your P5 today?

Rolled over 168K on the way to the office this morning.

whitempro5, looking good and I'm with Phen....do it!

Hank, can't see the pics at work but I'll def. check them out later. Did you end up using the MSM tip?

Cam, so you are the one that bought the last of the 22V Trinity, congrats!

He didn't buy it. Scratch did.

Been driving her around with the classic wah wah wah wah wheel bearing sound. hopefully can get them replaced at school this week or the next.

I tried to change a foglight bulb but the nut holding the assembly on was stubborn and I was lazy. Instead, I stumbled upon my front motor mount:

is this bad? once again, bear in mind, this is my first car, I know nothing, yada yada

Pb blast the bolt if you have enough inclination.

I honed the cylinder out a lil last night. Now I just gotta do work this evening and weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to start her up at least. Drive her around the neighborhood once, then leave her alone for a bit.

^Yep, it needs to be replaced.

anyone have a ballpark idea as to how much it will cost to have a shop change the front motor mount?

on topic, got the foglight housing out today and changed the bulb. absolute PIA when I stripped a screw... then it got cold and dark outside. So tomorrow I'm going to school sans drivers foglight, reinstalling it after school.

If you have a socket set with either a 14mm or 17mm you can change it yourself in about 15mins. Seriously, it's that easy. You can use your scissor jack to gently raise the motor just a pinch while to take some weight off the front of the motor. Then unbolt the 2 17mm (I think, or 14mm) bolts under the motor mount and the 17mm bolt that goes through the mount itself. Remove old, torn mount and replace with the new one. Tighten everything up, remove scissor jack and reward yourself with ice cream or beer for a job well done.

Or expect to pay about $70 for a mechanic to do it for you. I'm sure there are some cats in MA that would help you or do it for you.

id try and do it yourself if you can. But im not sure how much a shop would charge...

i broke a screw in each of my fog housings- the silver phillips ones? yeah, they're stupid. but they get exposed to the elements so i guess it's bound to happen.

i'm gonna try and peel my headlights apart and prep them for the HIDs... I know xmas isn't here yet but i'm not gonna be driving her any time in the evening soon.

i got the ring compressor so i can slide the pistons into the cylinder but i have a bit of homework i should be doing so i said to myself i'd work on it tomorrow! I have the whole weekend to work on her as i don't have to work sunday.

well, my guess is that, since he's in high school, he's not 21. nobody has to know though if he does throw back a brew ;)

and it's too cold for ice cream :D

Thank ya thank ya thank ya, doesn't sound too bad. I found the duralast mount for $113. Is that high?

foolish, its never too cold for ice cream

I just ate three generous scoops of cookie dough ice cream and it's 30 degrees F... and I've never made a better decision.

Put my Magnaflow P5 specific exhaust on my car on black friday. didnt change to better hangers or mount inserts, piping bangs worse then a screen door in a hurricane...... -_-

Put the winter tires on the other day. Been enjoying the smoother ride (14" rims yo) and I've also been enjoying my new subwoofer, it drowns-out the engine noise perfectly!

Sad... I love the little growl the 2.0 gives off. Or, maybe it's just mine and I have a problem. Either way, the sound is decent. I just need some CA$$$$$$$HHHHH to project that sound out the back end.

starting moving myself out of my apartment with it. just love having a wagon and stuffing it to the ceiling with stuff

I hear ya on that, i installed Corksport exhaust hangers with mine as well as using small hose clamps on the brackets themselves to align the exhaust hanger to keep the exhaust from hitting

Reinstalled the fog light housing and got everything working. I'm picking up the mount tonight, and I have a buddy that used to work with me that said he'll help me out with it on Monday or Tuesday
