Will I rub?

i have 17x7 with 40 offset and 215. 45 tires. they are the ABSOLUTE flushest you can get without rubbing (and thats with the max amount of fender rolled)

now your adding another inch to the rim, and a WAY bigger tire

and were talking about rubbing fender here not perch

i had that exact setup and it did rub.

adding an inch to the rim just makes it half an inch wider on each side (given same offset)... so it wouldn't change the location of the tire... however, fitting a 235 tire under our cars is a near impossibilty without MAJOR modification.

I was just asking because there is a nice set of Acura TL wheels on sale locally, too bad they won't fit though.

Would they happen to be Type-S wheels?

I almost bought a set of those last year. Even with a 215/45/17 there will be some fitment issues not to mention the fact of mounting a 215 tire on an 8" wheel.

They would have looked oh-so-nice though.

Yep I believe so, I'm bummed that they won't work because the guy wanted $300 for them with tires and they were in great shape.

yea tl wheels are really nice....
they should fit though, maybe not with a 235 series tire but the rims itself should fit as long as u dont go slammed

might fit with a 225/40
i have 205/50 on my 17x7.5's and they rubbed alot in the back, but my car is also reallllly low, offset it +48 btw, a little raise in the back and some fender rubbing and im fine now

EDIT: DAM thats a great deal, get them anyways and if they dont fit then sell them to me lol

Do they look like the pic? And damn that is a good deal. I was ready to pay $800 for wheels alone (yes I like them that much).

Might be able squeeze a 225 on 'em with some modification...just a matter of how much modification do you wanna do.

Not those, they are these:

If that Integra could get them to fit, there's no reason they shouldn't fit on our cars.

I'm gonna contact the guy and see if I can meet up with him for a test fitment, couldn't hurt to try.

They are +45 though.

yea i know, i said they can fit +20 easy so +45 should be no problem for them
lower the number the more it sticks out

ive actually seen a +0 offset on an integra before, idk how they fit such wide wheels under there
but yea i always liked those rims so ask and get a bunch of pics if he says yes

I've already asked, but waiting for a response. I'm also waiting on somebody to buy my current P5 wheels, we'll see if that happens. If I don't sell those I can't get the Acura wheels.

you will never get those to fit im just telling you now...hell the only way they might fit would be to get some tiny tires and have them stretched

He gave me the go ahead to test fit them, but if it's a waste of time I might not bother.

just test fit them, and be 100% on it
everbody on here who says it wont fit has never tried it so they wouldnt know 100%

i would do it

Well, I also have the option to get M3 wheels locally.

So I can sell my wheels, and either get the TL wheels locally or the M3 wheels, only difference is that I would have to buy tires for the M3 wheels, but it would equal out anyways. Hmm.
